  1. does anyone here use them or has anyone fished out of one? what is your opinion of these boats. i have heard great things about them, especially for the price.
  2. a lot of "composite wood is a mixture of wood pulp and plastic. it is strong and virtually weather-proof. there was a lot of talk about building docks and piers out of this stuff, but it is very expensive. an old candle company in bentonville, ar came up w/ a plan a few years ago to make the composite wood and use the plastic from old walmart bags(being so close to wally world corporate) all of the wood they made was "walmart bag" blue. this sounds like it might be the same stuff since you could mold it. i hope this helps
  3. what do they run?
  4. rhino lining is HEAVY. might not be what you want. check before you go this route
  5. i have recently done some research on okuma reels and am impressed. i read a review from a prevous post saying the metaloid was the best buy for my money. since then i have found a few inpiras for just about the same price.($5 difference) has anyone used them. would you buy this reel over the metaloid? i think i am going to go with the inspira if no one can tell me otherwise.
  6. senko weightless. watermelon/cream or a tiki stick-babybass/pearl. i would fish it in a jerk & pause motion and it should trigger a strike. if they are feeding on their young, they should like on that is dying. by the way, this is another advantage to letting bass spawn and not take fish off the beds. good luck
  7. 1. orlando wilson 2. hank parker 3. bill dance all three very close. i miss the sunday afternoon programming on tnn. it was hard to beat
  8. horny toads. it wouldn't even be fair. if they didn't want it, senko. watermelon cream- weightless trig
  9. can you pour laminated or swirl senkos with the delmart mold? do any of you use a melting pot instead of a microwave? suggestions?
  10. I hook my boat onto the back of my truck, I called a friend and said let's go try em up, He said I'm sorry buddy I can't go, I'm watchin' the Orlando Wilson Fishin Show! (sounds better when sang by Tom T Hall)
  11. both of the boats that i have are welded to the side of the boat. one on the oustsides and the other on both the outsided and back. i wouldn't be able to take the corners off without cutting them, and if i did, i would not know how to get them back on. please let me know what you would do. thanks
  12. thanks for all of your info. i will try on one of the boats and see how that goes before starting on the second. wish me luck.
  13. i have 2 small jon boats. 12 and 14 ft. transoms are starting to go on both. i can't figure out how to replace the rotton wood. it looks like i would have to remove the corners off of the back. there also looks like there are a few rivets to worry about as well. any suggestions? a place here in jonesboro, ar gave me an estimate of between 100 and 200 per boat!! thanks in advance
  14. velvick is possibly one of the most annoying people associated with bass fishing. ike was abrasive at first but now is one of the most entertaining people in the sport. velvick speaks like he is at the top and i have not ever heard of him doing anything big(as far as tourney's go). he talks west coast smack every episode and i don't live on the west coast. i find it amusing that he talks about how the west coast anglers are superior anglers and then gets blanked. personnally, i like the hack attack, kvd, and ike...but not velvick.
