  1. That's it, thanks ClackerBuzz.
  2. Now that's what I'm talking about. Man them Cores' are just so hawt!
  3. I'll try again, I do remember using this in the past but it didn't give me an option last night. Maybe it was because I tried to do it from my IPAD instead of my laptop.
  4. Not to be blunt but, Bunnielab I think you should've made you're own topic instead of hijacking this thread. I was hoping for more pr0n of gear. I get all excited to see all the beauties, not here for the "articles".
  5. I tried to use my gift card but it didn't give me a choice to pick one during checkout. Did you have any issues?
  6. Congratulations, sounds like the bait monkey is in my ear....you must get one!
  7. I agree with 22hertz, but imo a direct comparison of the Chronarch vs Tatula SV isn't apples to apples. It would be more in line with a Curado. In any case it is personal preference on what level of refinement/features you like.
  8. Technically I believe I would still have to pay import taxes for anything above 60$ Canadian dollars. If it's made in the USA no import taxes. Great to hear about pitching, sounds like I'm going to be buying a couple in the near future. However if the rumor is true the Curado is getting a make over and speculation is that it might have a MGL spool too. Maybe we will have a boat load of those too.
  9. The two reel lines aren't apples to apples. The Curado would be more inline. Let me know about that Tatula SV on how you like it.
  10. So I'm going to have to walk back my statement, for a couple reasons. 1. The USD is killing the Canadian Dollar. 2. For some reason the government has dinged me a few times recently ordering stuff from overseas on import taxes. They weren't like this before! Due to this it is a better deal to buy the Chronarch MGL. 3. After spending time with one in store, I pulled the trigger on the Chronarch MGL XG. Out of the box it felt smooth as I remember with my Met MGL. At least, I couldn't tell the difference. I spooled it up with 50lb Max Cuatro and will be my pitching reel. This will replace my Citica G7. I am going to give it a whirl this weekend to do some on the water tests. If this goes great I'll buy two more to replace my 2 remaining Citicas.
  11. I bought a new to me G Loomis IMX MBR 843C and an E6X MBR 843C. These are going to be staples in my coangler tournament arsenal. I have them paired up with Chronarch 50MGs. Although they balance well, I haven't decided yet if that is the way I'm going.
  12. All line will work in all situations it is really confidence in what you are fishing with in my opinion. Primary reason for me to use braid to leader (Mono/FC/Copoly) is because of cost really. Braid I do not have to change out the line every season like the other lines. A spool of braid on my reels will last years.
  13. Mono definitely! A mono leader will work fine too. So don't fret regarding braid as main line. Like others state any MH rod can handle these duties. Also don't over think the color too much, I keep it simple. Light color in clear water or dark color in dirty/stained water and at night. Leave the skirt on, if you want to change it up use a trailer.
  14. I wonder if they actually replaced it. Are you sure? I haven't used my Met MGL that long but it is smooth out of the box. I own the previous version and never had a smoothness issue either. Maybe send to DVT to take a look?
  15. Curado 70 is an awesome reel, but I can't compare with a Daiwa unfortunately. Really though I'm sure either will be fine.
  16. I guess I'm old school because I still consider the 6 ratios as the all around and would use 7 and 8s as bottom contact or if I feel I want to burn something a bit more.
  17. That is not normal and I use braid on my Fenwicks and don't have grooving. I'd call Fenwick/Pure Fishing.
  18. Yes they are interchangeable and depends on how soft the tip you like fishing them with. This would be one factor, but I also prefer fishing them with a 6'6 and a 6'10". It just feels right to me, MH/F. I use the 6'6" for close quarter targeting and 6'10 for every other situation. These also are my swim jig and chatterbaits rod lengths too.
  19. X2, you should get a moderate rod for treble hooks. This would cover most situations with these 3 rods. Once you start to get into, while you regain experience you will start learning the power actions you like for each technique.
  20. I have an old symetre still rock solid and the Stradic fjs rock! Interesting how some people get ? and write them off.
  21. 1. I'd wait to see yes. 2. I have a 70xg, I use it for bottom contact. Awesome reel.
  22. Depends on lure rating, like someone stated not all medium power are created equal. Medium is a versatile stick, just like a medium heavy is...just think of them as the younger brother who can only use lighter weights.
