There is Washington bass masters in pa. http://www.washingtonpabassmasters.com/default.asp. They also have an open on the 23rd of this month. You can get an application from the site. The club has all kinds of tourneys through the year. I'm sure there are other clubs in Wv also.

I'm out of waynesburg, just north of ya. I think the prespawn will be happening soon. Currently, I think the fish aren't very active but will eat if the presentation is right. You are pretty close to Cheat Lake and you are right on the Mon river, which holds many small jaws. I fish out of kayak and have a blast, but it's too cold for me to take out right now.

I have an emotion spitfire that I've rigged for fishing. I put a couple scotty mounts on it for cameras and rod holders, an anchor trolley, a fish finder, paddle clip, and built a fishing crate. This is going to be a good season. However, I wouldn't stand in it. I was considering making some pontoon stabilizers but maybe next year.

I share your heartache. It seems every day off I have falls on a freezing day. I'm constantly checking the 10-day which is a joke and winter seems like it will never leave. At least there is a 60 degree day this weekend, although I will be at work...

I agree. I wasn't much for his vagueness and demeanor at first. However, I understand his game and why he chose to act in that fashion. He had some quality gripes when it came to spectators but I do think he should be more humble to his position.

I think it depends on how many clear days you have. How long the sun has been warming up the banks and what the water temp is. Maybe look for steep banks facing the sun.

I find it quite exciting and fun to watch. I just wish there was more of them.

I had to find it under the title fishing. Kind of sad considering the scope of the classic. They should publicize and respect the sport more than they do. There needs to be a strictly fishing channel.

I fish the mon river mostly, occasionally cross creek lake North of Washington. I haven't caught anything amazing here but I've only been fishing it for about seven months. I can't wait for spring!
