  1. These new reels look and sound great, has anyone held one yet or better yet have any field experience with them? On a somewhat related note why does BPS not sell Okuma spinning reels? I'd like to hold on before I pull the trigger, and with the classic coming up, and reel trade-in..... If I can't get it a BPS there's a Cabela's on my way down, maybe they'll have them in. Thanks for the help in advance.
  2. I've found that Dick's usally runs a sale on Yamamoto stuff the first weekend of the Classic. If memory serves me right, they're quite a bit less than BPS that weekend.
  3. Engaged, so the newness is still there. He's good for a least a couple of years.
  4. Making the Pilgrimage down to Foxboro from Maine next weekend. I really hope the JM Signature Series Spinning Reels are back on sale this year, as I want to pick up another one. Last year they put the new carbonlite spinning reels in their place. Then it will be the usual assortment of Zoom plastics as they're always 25% off. I'd like to see those Mustad KVD Grip Pin hooks on sale. I started using them last year and love them! I got 2 to 3 times the life out of baits I was getting with regular hooks. But I'm most excited because my brother is just getting into bass fishing and this is his first trip, a total virgin! I can absolutely not wait to get him in there and spend his money! The possibilities are endless!
  5. While cruising BPS’s facebook page I just came across a post from yesterday asking them about the release of the flyer. BPS's response: "check your mailbox or back with us online on February 14th!" I'm sure all of us planning our BPS shopping spree is just what our significant others envisioned for V-day.
  6. I came across Bass Resource about a month ago now, and I have to say I'm totally addicted. The how to videos are absolutely awesome. I feel like I'm in the boat with Glenn and we're just having a normal conversation. I've also found the forums to be very informative. I'm really happy to have found such a great site, and a big thanks to all that make it that way. As for me, I’m relatively new to bass fishing. I started about 3 years ago, but man I've got the fever now. Not a huge ice fisherman so I'm pretty much reduced to counting the hours for BPS's Spring Classic!
