  1. I to have tried at making homemade worms,i made a 10 inch worm out of clay and made a mold from plaster ,the only problem is that the plastic that sits in the mold ,does not come out shiney like store bought baits,what can I do to get it to shine ?

  5. Hi, im looking into replacing my deck in my stratos 266f/s, but was thinking ,why would I put new carpet in ,so it can just hold water ,has anyone ever used the non skid stuff,instaed of carpet ?

  13. I was just wondering what grit of sandpaper to use to get a good shine on my gelcoat,its an 88 stratos,has a couple spots that are not smooth,i would like to smooth it out so she shines,any info would be appreciated,thanks

Be careful ,I just traded my Harley Davidson for a 1988 stratos boat,and found water under the floor where the batteries are in the bilge area ,he claimed there is nothing wrong with the boat,at least I can fix it myself,also do a compression test first ,if you can ,but I should of wondered why he had to get rid of it brfore spring, now im afraid to trust anyone anymore
  15. I want to plug the holes for the old transducer ,until I buy gelcoat,and I would use the sealent to. Seal any other screws etc, I also wonder if its strong enought to glue my new transducer to the boat instead of making more holes
  16. sealing bolt holes, screw holes,etc, do you think it would hold my transducer without screwing new holes in the hull ?
  17. What brands of adhesive do you guys use for your boats, I just picked up a tube of e-6000 marine from walmart for 1/3 of the price of 3m 5200,do you guys think it will be just as good ?
  18. has anyone used the 4 x 8 sheets of pink rigid foam for floatation instead of buying the 2 part pour in foam,in a bass boat ?
  19. actually I guess its the bilge foam that was waterlogged, has anyone ever used the foam sheets from the big hardware stores for floatation foam,or do I have to use 2 part liquid foam?
  20. just got a 1988 stratos bass boat, noticed some rotten wood on the side where the batteries are,found out foam was soaked on both sides,i removed it ,anyone else have this happen ,if so what kind of wood and foam did you use ?

Hello everyone, i recently purchased a 1988 stratos 266 f/s, i cant wait until the weather warms up ,so i can clean it up, what do you guys use to get the gel coat shinier, i took a little turtle wax rubbing copmuond to a spot and it looked better,so it doesnt seem like it needs to much polishing,also the carpets are dirty ans some green spots along the edges,what or how do you get them clean ?
