  1. August has been a pretty good month for me,best day put two five pounders in the boat. Now that it is starting to get cooler the pickerel bite is picking up again and the things I did to catch bass in the spring and summer just don't seem to work.It happens to me every fall, can't find fish to save my butt, the pond I fish is on the cape and over grown with milfoil.Anybody have any tips, clues or ideas for me?
  2. I like the way you think, looks like a killer set up
  3. Fish like Ike,never give up.Try putting some fresh line on you reel and you should get bettter distance. Also add 1/4 oz sinker to a t-rigged plastic to help get it out there. While at w-mart getting fresh line pick up a house brand buzzbait.they won't break the bank and they catch fish. This might set you back ten bucks,Helping out around the house usually loosen's up the parental units.
  4. sometimes yes sometimes no,if it's windy I'll start with a weight and change up if the fish don't like it.On a calm day I will start no weight and if the fish don't bite add some weight
  5. Johns and Ashumut ponds in Mashpee were ice free today
  6. wacky rig around docks and t-rigs when casting to the bank.I like to let the t-rig sit for awhile, give it a little shake and let it sit somemore, followed by a long slow pull or two.Rinse and repeat.
  7. If I were fishing LA right now I would be one lucky son of a gun.rattle traps in five to ten feet of grass and watermelon red senkos cast to the bank and under docks have worked for me on visits to Austin at this time of year.
  8. well I drove by Herring Pond in Plymouth last week and it was wide open.I have nothing to do tomorrow so I might pick up my lic. and head to Peters pond and drowned a couple of crawlers.
  9. LMAO too, ain't no ice here on the cape and the snow is just about gone might not have to wait until april
  10. Revo stx gen2 ,bulk spool 15lb Invisex, and a restocked supply of fresh Senko's and Super Flukes.Going to check out fishing with shakey heads for something a little different.
  11. Very nice smallie's there Shane, was just talking to my brother inlaw down in Tx and he tells me a thirteen pounder came out of Falcon this week.Seems like your timing is pretty good.If I remember right last feb. that place went on a hot bite during the full moon, good luck on your trip.
  12. heavy rod, heavy braid, magnum flukes c-rigged or on one oz. jig heads, one oz spinnerbaits in chartruece with gold colorado,dd crank's and a plug knocker ! hard not to get hung up fishing Falcon.
  13. Falcon is bassfishing heaven.Went twice last year and the size and numbers are awsome!!!! Fished for four days and put twenty fish or so in the boat that went between five and eight lbs.lost at least twelve fish in the cedars and some of those could have been bigger. What I liked most was that there were a lot boats out fishing the "honey holes" and these spots would seem to replenish with fresh fish as the day went on.Might get a chance to go again in april.
  14. caught my pb 8lb bass with pop-r and throw it quite often however,a black buzzbait is my go to top water.have my most luck with a pop-r when i work it slowly i seem to enjoy the quicker pace of the buzzbait so i always pick that up first.
  15. Thanks for the welcome guys.Hope to start rippin lips in march. The bait monkey has been fed so the only thing left to do is spool up some fresh line.
