Have you looked at the fishing log on this site? It's a good one to use or to base your own off of. I keep one with date, time, location, weather, water clarity, lure(s), # of fish, and presentation of how fish were caught. There's more that I could add, but for now, it works for me.
Walmart has the Lightning Rod Shock for the same price, $39. It's a bit better than the regular Lightning Rod. I have some and love 'em!!!! Either way, either one, great rod for the money. You will love it!
But isn't this site our "Facebook" for fishing, without having to deal with the crap that comes with it. I sure wish some of the contests would be on here as well. But I respect Glenn's decision to promote whatever he wants; just don't agree with it.
Try smaller waters. NWI has a ton of small lakes and ponds where you will have better luck. Just get on Google maps and start looking around. That 's what I do, and I've found a lot around NWI.
Totally agree! Koppers makes beautiful lures, and this one "looks" very cool. For the fisherman! I don't think that it will outperform any other crank, though. But it will definitely catch the eye of an angler
I have done both and caught fish both ways. The action of the lure may change with a snap, but sometimes that change can help, too. Snaps will gather more weeds and crap at times, but like I said, both have worked for me.
My neighbor walked over and said he found this in an old tackle box and gave it to me. Told me he's had it for years. Anyone ever see a jig with the head like this?
Which is exactly why I won't purchase the high priced lures. Lures that are $8 or less can catch fish just as well as those $25 lures. And I don't feel AS BAD if I lose one
I got some for free to try out, Big Texan color, and so far...love it. I have been fishing it with a 3/16 weight T-rigged and have had success. I would like to get some other colors to try, too, to see if its going to be a regular staple for me. The durability isn't that great, but the price can't be beat. I have used worse!
Its a BPS rod. I just noticed it says Pete Mania on it. Musky rod. There are quite a bit of musky fisherman around here in Indiana, so I may be able to unload it.
