I had a Sellus and liked it until it snapped in half! I also have a Shock and love it! Never had any issues at all with it. WalMart sells them for 39.99 in the stores and that way you can handle it and check the guides. I recommend it. You won't be disappointed!
Thanks guys! I have some Siebert jigs from last year that I love. I didn't know he offered some with rubber skirts, too. I will check them out. Any color preferences? Most of the water I fish is stained.
I am looking for some new jigs with rubber skirts rather than silicone ones. I like the look and feel of a bulky rubber jig, and I like the way they work in the water. Maybe I'm just old school. Anyone recommend any decent ones? Thanks!
I have one Livingston that i got for free and don't really care for it. I couldn't find any reason to purchase any. Seems a bit gimmicky to me. But those Bandits....that's the way to go!
Megabass look nice, but there is no way that I can justify paying that much. I can still catch bass with a rod under $100. Lightning Rod Shock and Tech Spec fit the bill. Every Shimano that I have owned broke, so no more for me. Looking at a Carbonlite next.
This may be a dumb question.....we see a lot of crankbaits that are "red craw" color and they work wonders in the spring. So, if those are supposed to resemble a craw, why aren't we throwing red colored jigs? Aren't they supposed to mimic a craw? I know that black and blue along with green pumpkin are the most popular. But I'm thinking a red jig may work.....
Only bad part on shallow ponds and lakes is this....when the snow covers the ice for extended periods of time, the oxygen levels go down. Low oxygen = winter fish kill. Some of my favorite spots may be in trouble.
I love Combos. The mix of pretzels and cheese is great!
Just kidding....if you can find decent combos in your price range, definitely go for it. Bass Pro and Cabela's both have Pflueger Presidents matched with different rods that would be great for ya!
Fried Spam, sliced up, mixed into Ramen is the bomb! Actually, fried Spam with anything is. Especially the Bacon Spam. Or the Jalapeno Spam. And no, I'm not kidding. Love it!
