Way people dress when in public now...certain stores are know for it but its growing. Don't know if this counts but "I did not need to see that person Texting while driving" . Makes me want to take my phone out and take a movie of them and their license plate. (but I don't)
Been around long enough that I enjoy all teqniques but in thinking bout things I really don't enjoy people leaving their headlights on when launching in the dark.
I like the less is more attitude. Raingear/small bag/food an drink/four or five rods. Like was mentioned above take your strengths and practice new stuff at home for the most part. Relax enjoy yourself and help boater with his gas/oil bill.
Have had happen several times....still remember the time I caught a small bass with a rattle trap and while it was in my hand a hook got buried and he shook his head. Quite painful. I squeezed him and he died and then I was able to get hooks out. Still get goose bumps when I'm lippin a rattle trap fish!!!
Kind of amazing to me after them being there for over three weeks that some of their shelters are no better than some of the survivor shows when it first started.
Couldn't eat that many bass and nor would I want to and lastly I've done the sharing fish thing with friends and neighbors and lets say I won't go down that road again.
Boat always has granola bars in it. As I get older I find eating between stops keeps me going better all day. Sandwich or two, apple, snickers...water and gatoraid.
When doing the heavy pitchin I use 30 to 40 pound power pro with a 17 to 20 pound Silver Thread Fluro leader. Double uni knot.....five wraps on braid side and four on fluro....works for me.
Well last weekend it happened. Was fishing a local Heartland with a friend and about noon was heading to another spot when boat did a thump/a wiggle and a wall of water came over the back. Lifted the motor and no shaft and no prop.......sadness. Looks like the insurance company is going to cover but gosh the wait. Can't get my boat into the shop till the 13th of July. Not crazy bout calling others to go fishing so will get a lot of honey do's caught up (yeah right). Everything is out of the boat now and so when I get it back it will get a complete wash/wax and will be ready for battle I hope....me too.
Tight Lines all....be safe
Sounds like its going to be awesome. We moved from Oregon to Tennessee and it took three U-Hauls. Moved into a house in the country with an unfinished basement. Has been a lot of work and have done everything ourselves also both inside and out. Will be glad when it's mostly done...getting close but seems so far away. Oh...and I'm 65 and I feel it some days.
Have used and feel comfortable with both. Casting into the wind is easier with a spinning and there's less backlashes. Also there's less maintenance I believe with spinning. Glad we have both to choose.
