Lots of variables here. Are you fishing for chinook, silvers, chum etc. They vary in size quite a bit. What is your rod rated for line and power wise and what will you be throwing as far as lures? As long as you don't over rate the rod you should be fine. Just play em.
Just finished the book FEARLESS by Eric Blehm as my son had recommended it to me. Took me three days. I must say for those who have been in the service or have an interest about how tough it is to be a Seal this book opened my eyes a bit more. Well written...it's sad with a lot of goosebumps too. Again...my heart is humbled and thankful for those who serve to make others a bit safer.
Actually had another boat "in a marina" the morning of a tourney put there boat up over the back of my boat and right behind my seat!!!! Was a little unsettling ....did set the tone for the day.
Spinning I use both 15 and 10 pound PP along with a Silver Thread fluro leader. Have for years and very pleased. Double uni for the connection. Good luck
Was stationed on Adak for one year 17 days and twenty minutes many years ago. Later went to Keni area to fish once...caught a ton....looked at all the bigness of the land....amazing. Was ran off river by a grizzly. Felt like bait in that big land surrounded by bears. Would have to fish in a boat next time should I get to go again. Wouldn't be a good sightseer... Like to do stuff.
Check out IFISH.net. It's a local website about fishing. Willamette river runs right down the center of town and can be good. Summer is tougher but catching can be done. If you can get out early try up by Oregon City on the east side. There's a big park where the Clackamas River comes in. Try a pop r...or swim a small grub. Was quit a few smallies in the area and lots of bank.
Well I changed the plugs on my 225 opti (2002). Oh my gosh...the people who designed these motor must of had strong little hands. I'm 65 and I still feel it the next day from all the contortions. But....am glad to save a few bucks and apply elsewhere....TACKLE!!!
Favorite would not be the right word for this topic....sad would be closer. Don't even like to remember all the times people have shown such poor judgement in their abilities to handle themselves while driving.
Interesting topic....not sure if I believe the genetitcs stuff but interesting. I myself have a passion for fishing and used to fish for everything. Only one's I remember fishing was my grandma and grandpa on my dads side. Moms side .... her dad owned a marina but worked all the time and never fished. My dad fished a little but due to the fact he never caught much he said it was just good to get out...which is true to a great degree. (he had a lot of life's pressures that kept him away. My son enjoys fishing but has more of a passion for hunting and viewing sports like football etc. At 65 I still enjoy putting in a ten to twelve hour day and then look forward to the next day. They are all gifts from above.
