  1. Well it's here....wish the very best to all of you and may your day be blessed. Heading for my second cup while the house is quiet.
  2. I've been liking the new Cashion.....
  3. YOU are one tuff individual......WOW Back in Oregon trout fishing I used to keep the water pack trout eggs in my mouth while stream fishing....that way didn't have to slow down with the catching. Tried the oil pack once........only once!!!!!!!
  4. Sweet pics.....Norris here I come!!!!
  5. Oh yes ....the smallie fishing is amazing...truly...and no boats on the water when the wind blows. To your credit...have loved northern cali too....very much. But attitudes in Oregon are.............Unique!!!
  6. As they say here in east Tenn......Howwwwwwww Nicccccccccccce P.S. Cool Talk about holding out a piece of candy....sounds awesome....truely does.....Hard water....deal breaker.
  7. All these stories on flag football...that would be fun. I tried cleaning up the back yard all at once after a storm last Saturday hit here pretty good. Left a tree over the fence. Oh....boy....this body...even though I'm not in bad shape really protested on Wednesday ..... today maybe a little slow too. Gosh...the ol brain sometimes just doesn't give me a clue to be careful. Sheesh....thought they were supposed to work together!!
  8. Lifting....lost our daughter to cancer....in our thoughts every day. Everyday is a gift not to be taken for granted. Stay strong.....
  9. I support the industry....could I put on a grub or tube and catch fish in salt and fresh water fish....yes. But so what....love trying new stuff.... Different baits....different fish Seems to work...
  10. Lived in Oregon 60 years...do not like there mentality to warm water fish (enuf said) Moved to East Tennessee to live with kids and grandkids and good Lord willing will never leave. Everything soooooo close.....can be a little warm for a month or so....buy oh my what a sacrifice we make sometimes. Good luck
  11. I was younger...(much) and I would go fishing in the mornings before everyone would gather around. Back then (45 plus years ago) I lived in Oregon and you used to be able to catch steelhead in the streams in November until genetics were changed. Now it's much later. Thanksgiving now is a blessed day with kids and grandkids and friends.....my oh my. Wonder if I'll get to teach them bad habits.....
  12. Thanks....hope to get out in the next few days after bird day and do some playing...oops .... research. Love those smallies. Probably launch at 19. Have used both and it's soooo close. I'm a color and presentation type of person along with size and they are so close. Give me a 1/16 and 6# and I believe either one of those baits is going to be happy happy times on the water.
  13. Tis the season!!!
  14. I have settled on the 1/16....night and day the bites it gets. We started pouring our own and now I put a BN Mustad 1/0 hook in it instead of the size two....believe it works better for me. It was...reminded me of the ol Columbia back home. One club tourney left....Norris
  15. WOW.....don't think I could. But I did weigh the smallest 12 inch bass in a Wranger BASS Nationals many years ago.
  16. Gosh...I missed this....you did good on your explanations. I too felt when I put it in my hand how it just molded in. I have the older green Curado's and the pearl Chronarch's and they have stood the test of time and still are. Even a couple of the smaller magnesium Chronarch's ....they are small but I believe the "K" fits in my hand better. Thank you
  17. Thanks for the smiles this morning....I'm addicted to tourneys....but now it's mostly club tourneys. Would love to fish the bigger ones but..........
  18. Was just wondering if anyone has tried or purchased and used this reel. Haven't bought a new reel in years due to the reliability of what I have but I am tempted with this one. Thank you very much for any input.
  19. That's one place I miss along with Orville since I've moved out here....many good times. Thanks for the memories.
  20. Nothing like time on the water....tough catching other peoples fish.
  21. Update: Tourney was this last Saturday and my or my did things change. We had nine anglers show up. Only four caught fish I believe. The bait and the fish totally moved. The water had that stillness to it that you just kinda know that it's going to be a tuff day. The day started with an amazing sunrise of all colors and flat water. Day ended with a rough boat ride with wind and some rain. I was blessed to come in second with the aid of a "Ned Rig" It's kind of funny in that I used to fish like this all the time before it had an official name....but now "I DO" use the TRD's verses the three inch Dingers and love the fact you can fish all day on a couple baits. Tight Lines
  22. The only thing I could add ....(lot's of good info above) is maybe think twice about the cover. When I used to travel and fish a lot out west....lower life forms would travel in twos. One would walk by boat with cover with a sharp blade. The second guy would go under the cover through the slit. Now he could take his time as he couldn't be seen!! Anyway...may your trip be blessed. When I travel...if it's loose...it goes in the room.
  23. Update.....well since purchasing said product we seem to be getting warm/rainless weather again here in east Tenn. Pretty though....
  24. Last cold water/day experience I had was a couple years ago when we had some good snow. Less than a mile from the boat ramp I got stuck in the snow on a little hill on a corner....$#@$. I felt the snow would melt some as the day got a bit warmer but new I had to make it too the lake to fish the day first.......good thing a friend was following and saved the day. P.S. Seems like cold...rain keep many many people off the water......Love it. P.S.S. Good job on fishing....it's an addiction huh!
