  1. I kinda...(not) know how you feel. Even though we be getting a ton of rain I'm still waiting for boat to get out of shop. Christmas season is NOT the time to take in a boat.
  2. Agree...should of have said replica.....my bad
  3. Lifted ....wow....beautiful family. Glad things be looking up... I'm sure some people will do anything to kill time and get through those long cold winters......KIDDING. May you give those fish a run for it this spring....
  4. Long time ago I really wasn't a fish eater...tried eating a small bass from a clear Oregon pond I fished a lot and it tasted like mud to me...Tried eating some spots out of Shasta a friend cooked in later years and they were good but still for the most part had the "let em go....let em grow" mentality. Now I did keep a number of salmon and steelhead out west and gave many away..to this I feel some guilt. Should I ever have extra dough lying around a big smallie or LMB on the wall would be cool...but as I get older it's not as important. BUT....getting out there chasing them is still amazing. Good story Tom
  5. The other girl in my life....hope she likes to fish https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipO8d1039BH8giSCXCqTkon0fb21wApOVCbdAeAssomeday with grandpa. Dang...having troubles posting pics again!!!!!!
  6. When I worked at Bumble Bee Seafoods in Astoria Oregon I worked some days in the soaking tanks. Found some of the old circle hooks that were used in the earlier days...
  7. When I married I fished a lot....wife was/is awesome. Told her I was providing for the family when I went.!!! &#@!...she says. We don't eat fish!!! Oh well....still use that line to same effect..although when I fish at the store and bring home the Gorton's there is no complaint.
  8. Just can't say much nice about em...good for you all who like em. Will stick with an ol fashioned boat with motors on the outside with standing room inside.
  9. Absolutely.....lifting
  10. Hope things get straightened out reasonably. Glad ya got em.
  11. Used to love oyster dressing for Christmas or Thanksgiving...(I was only one) so......this went by the wayside.
  12. Love watching them terrorize the coots..... Only ice I want is cube's in a soft drink glass.....
  13. Used to do "amazing" especially in spring on a Dry Creek tube called Old Ugly out there. Tight Lines
  14. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.........no.
  15. Oh my...this is a conversation that a person could spend hours on the front porch talking about. Land...drivers...respect...values...country...times are sure changing. I'm glad to be here today so that I can pray for my kids about tomorrow. I do not envy them. Believe some trying times ahead....but then...what did they think 200 years ago too.
  16. Merry Christmas all
  17. May have fished that area many years ago.....well done.
  18. Have had this boat since 02 and have really only used gas/oil/couple pumps and stuff in all those years and miles across country. Could not put a dollar amount on the joy it has brought. Especially with the kids and grand kids now and also a lot of tourney adventures. Have heard it will be about a grand....wife says yes....I say awesome. Now I need to be patient...just like watching a bobber!
  19. Would love to fish with my wife....BUT....she doesn't care for it...her passion is golfing so when ever she snaps her fingers I go golfing with her!! She backs my fishing 100% and is a blessing. I've tried to improve on hitting that silly white ball so as to give her a go once in awhile so life is good.
  20. Gosh...good question. They both have depth in their body's and I have caught some in some rivers and lakes that were amazing fighters...My favorite place to catch smallies was on the Columbia....oh gosh. For spots....Shasta, Orville, Watts Bar, Cumberland. Well....guess you can see like catching fish everywhere.
  21. My pic would be Lake Powell....the upper end. So beautiful.
  22. Have used the shaw myself but like the gitzit glider style better. TW has them. They are flat with a hole at the top...slide them in...take an EWG hook and run through kind of like a Texas style and your set.
  23. Use my 9 for football jigs and love it....The smaller profile reels really help keep my hands from hurting as much. Bone on bone in the thumb area can be telling! No problem will line capacity.
