  1. Oh my....couldn't or wouldn't voluntarily take the pain. Been to the ER and hospital too many times to like needles. But if you like it ....go for it. I think I'm stepping out of the box letting my hair grow for four months because I told the wife was going to let it grow untill I was done with surgeries and healed. Kind of reminds me of the ol ol days. Tight Lines
  2. Since we are ALL dreaming of the unknown and giving our expert opions, all pretty solidly based on fact after fact and the allignment of the stars of course.....it's a no brainer...SEATTLE wins it all again.
  3. If you look you will find some great rods with decent warrentys for around a hundred bucks....reels to match those rods with a nice balance for all day fishing without fatigue will run you about two hundred bucks (casting) Go to a large store that has a good selection and put some outfits together and if the reel and the rod match it should be an awesome balance in your hand. I try to fish the lighter casting reels like the chronarchs. Tight Lines
  4. Take it as it comes as a gift. Love being on the water and love being competitive too. Learned even more this year to take what is given and appreciate it. Slow down and smell the roses as they say. I spent too much time in hospital and doctors offices this year to think much different. Not to mention a very close call with being flower food.
  5. Diggin up bones is tough....very tough. Now it's done and water under the bridge and happy times for ya ahead.
  6. Been there.....sucks
  7. Would be tuff to get off water around here when here thunder.....seems like most every day for the last month you can hear it in the afternoon. Personally just try not to run in open and stay close to bank.
  8. Core/Stella .... have had for number of years and really don't need to experiment. But then if money wasn't an option I would probably experiment.
  9. Good for you....enjoy
  10. I believe I would like to fish with Rick Clunn.......just cause.
  11. Good for you.....good for you. Sounds like you have some of those ol fashioned values. It's awesome you can be there for her. It also sounds like she knows it too but ......well.....yeah....you know.
  12. I just purchased a LEXA from Daiwa a couple weeks ago and am pretty impressed. Got it as Bass Pro and it was under a $100 and it's light and fast action with a lot of beef to it. Haven't bought a rod in years but wanted a Carolina/flipping/do all around heavy rod since moving to Tennessee. I believe it's 7'7".....would go look but just had a double hernia fixed and I'm sore and don't want to walk out to boat. Good luck Have Lamiglas, Shimano,Fenwicks, Loomis....they all make great rods.
  13. Oh my.....you lead an interesting life. Hope things get better.
  14. Love...love...love my Core
  15. I carry some bio soap in boat in a bottle...regular soap not that great for the enviroment. (Lindy has some) Every little bit helps.
  16. Spent the winter fishing and because the water was clear we would go back with a underwater camera to check things out. It was amazing how many fish were at times grouped together and yet you would only get one or two bites. This was both shallow and deep as the fish were not intimidated by the camera at all. Did not see many smallies...but lots of largemouth. Was cool to check out areas and see all the fish just like on TV....it was also intimidating to not catch them when there were so many.
  17. Good for you.
  18. Tubes are awesome just about anywhere. Have used a lot in weed pockets and pads. I normally use the heavier salted version if I want to go weightles and also put some smelly jelly on them for a slicker surface and longer fish holding on time. Dry Creek out of Idaho are my favorite brand too. Tight Lines
  19. Wow....sad. Do hope things work out...sent a short one upstairs for ya.
  20. Double uni for me.....has been good to me. Power Pro with Silver Thread or even light fireline with Silver Thread. Have no troubles and quick to tie. I do five wraps on the braid side and four on the fluro side.....awesome and easy.
  21. Use light braid on spin reels now and will probably never look back. Do use a fluro leader. But love the fact I can go months and months without having to put line on the reel and the line twist is a minimum at most. Just sayin
  22. I too think time goes fast enough as it does. Love all the seasons...especially the cooler ones....winter being awesome here in the south.
  23. Variety is what makes the world go around and tackle junkies trying new things. I use the PP in bright yellow with a fluro leader and it has done me well for a long time. Would try something else but it lasts so long on the reels that it's usually a couple years before I turn it over. Still have some on spools thats waiting to go to work.
  24. Oregon California Washington Arizona Utah New Mexico Neveda Colorado Florida Arkansas Texas Missouri Michagen Idaho Shudda pulled out a map as I think there's a couple more. Was blessed when I was fishing the state team for BASS. Got to travel a lot.
