  1. Actually, she is awesome about letting me go during "peak" times... I've got 7 four+ day trips planned between now and May.
  2. I've got everything I want as far as equipment... I just need some more "signed permission slips" from the wife for me to go!
  3. TW got me for $925 of baits...
  4. Keep in mind there's a reason why a Lamborghini costs more than a KIA.........
  5. I have (4) Calcutta 400D's for my big bait applications... Stick with Shimano or Daiwa, they are the top dogs in the bass fishing reel industry. Watch these two videos... Mike and Matt explain why you should use the Calcutta's.
  6. Never fished with the new Chronarch. The last Chronarch I owned was the pearl colored ones back in the early 2000's. Since then I've only owned the high end Shimano reels like the Calais, etc. For me it was between the Antaras and the Metanium MGL. There's a reason why the Metanium is $140 more than the Chronarch.... I'm sure the new Chronarch is a good reel, not "bashing" it. I just wanted the best I could afford. I'm very happy with the Metanium MGL.
  7. Congrats man! Glad you didn't try and claim "9lb 7oz".......
  8. +1 Just sold my Aldebaran 50's and got 10 Metanium MGL XG's, love 'em....
  9. Recently updated my arsenal... Sold all 10 of my Aldebaran 50's and got 10 Metanium MGL XG's. Also sold my 4 Exsence 3000's and got 4 Stella FJ 3000's. Arsenal as of now: (10) Shimano Metanium MGL XG's (4) Shimano Stella FJ 3000's (4) Shimano Calcutta 400D's (14) Shimano/G. Loomis Conquests (4) G. Loomis IMX Pro's - 3 swimbait, 1 crankbait
  10. Stick with Shimano and Daiwa. They are the top dogs in the freshwater bass fishing reel industry. I'm strictly a Shimano/G.Loomis guy. You get what you pay for. There's a reason a Lamborghini costs more than a KIA............... Good luck
  11. Yep. I said the same exact thing about Brian Schram's "9lb 7oz" from LSC.... #fake news........
  12. NRX 893C is definitely the most versatile. I owned 4 of them, they handled a variety of baits. I sold all of my NRX's and got all Conquests. I currently have 4 of the 903C Conquests. As mentioned above the MBR action of the Conquests are even more versatile than the NRX's.
  13. I'm strictly Shimano/G.Loomis for rods & reels. I cleaned and repaired reels for almost 10 years. Shimano is #1 in my opinion for quality, etc. Daiwa is a close 2nd, then Abu Garcia. My current arsenal: (14) Shimano/G.Loomis Conquests (4) G. Loomis IMX Pro's (3 swimbait/1 crankbait) (10) Shimano Metanium MGL HG's (4) Shimano Stella FJ 3000's (4) Shimano Calcutta 400D's
  14. I have (4) Calcutta 400D's for my big bait applications. They're built like tanks and hold plenty of 25lb.
  15. Cool.
  16. I know of a few......
  17. I bought 14 Conquests sight unseen, I'm very comfortable.... Good luck with your search.
  18. Baitcasting - Shimano/G Loomis Conquest with a Shimano Metanium MGL (I've got 10 of these combos) Spinning - Shimano/G Loomis Conquest with a Shimano Stella 3000FJ (I've got 4 of these combos)
  19. Conquest 904C / Metanium MGL
  20. All Shimano/G.Loomis here and have been brand loyal for almost 20 years now.... I used to clean and repair reels for almost 10 years when I was younger. I got to see the guts and workings of every brand reel. I choose Shimano......... (10) Shimano Metanium's (4) Shimano Stella FJ 3000's (4) Shimano Calcutta 400D's (14) Shimano/G.Loomis Conquests (4) G.Loomis IMX Pro's (3 swimbait/1 crankbait)
  21. Everything spinning. Very versatile rod and reel combo.
  22. Didn't know it was a competition, but ok...
