Live target has some good concepts and designs to make lifelike lures, but they are expensive and other than their frogs, Ive never caught a fish on their baits. My guess is they charge alot due to the detail and the fact you probably wont buy another. They were one of very few companies that made a wild golden shiner lure I was looking for as they are a common baitfish here. Never a bite! Every other crank ive used has caught something. Dont see alot of pros throwing the name out either now that I think of it. For $4 less id rather use kvd frogs with weight and rattles.

yea. I haven't gone back up in a few weeks. Seems like a waste of a trip for a couple hours of fishing then to bake for nothing rest of the day.

Thanks Lou. I got it on a spro little john spooky shad 3-5` dive. Got some nice panfish and mayan chics with it too. Also had some good strikes on a good ole pumkin pepper senko.

Yea I know. Its been a pain. This weekend I was debating on if I should even bother going out anymore, but persistence pays sometimes. Try earlier in the am. I may try in the middle of the night tonight and see how that goes. Thanks. Yea it wasn't that long, but it was a slob, so I weighed it. 6.8lbs. I think the last fish I caught that length was around if even 5lbs... that is if my scale is worth a crap. Always seems the few days around new moons produce much better than full moons.

Yea. Boats in for annual maint. and I feel bad ive been spending all my spare time fishing, so been doing more family time stuff. Got to go out early this morning and friday morning and did ok. Hooked into a 6.8lb slob this morning which was nice! It didnt have much lenght, but it was fat! Got alot of bites this morning. You bring in any more of those fatties yet?

This time of year ya gotta go early. Even middle of the night. If you have to go during the day, look for spots covered all day by trees, trees overhanging water and flip/pitch into them, or areas where canals drop into junctions to other canals or lakes. Alot of areas like bridges where water ways get narrow and flow current where water cools and gets oxidized will hold fish. Most of them go deep and hide in dips and grassy areas with more oxygen and structure hard to see without a sonar. Ive noticed the bite lately pretty much ends by 830 am. The evening before dark is ok, but the thermocline is still lower till the surface has enough time to cool.

I dunno anything about them, but I had the same problem this weekend. Busted out a 20` deep crank with a 6.4 reel and it was tough. Might look into a cheap 5.1 just for deep cranks.

Its been rough!! My biggest is 18.5". Im 85.5" in 5. Not even goin to bother posting them all since they are behind. I hooked into a nice 5-6lb one Friday morning, but lost it under my boat and into the weeds and I couldn't swing around to the other side because one of my d**n poles hooked the weeds on the shore and it shook off. Havent had a chance to hit any of my better spots like I was planning either. Seems like fishing is over by 9am and I have to be to work everyday at 7-730. Stupid work always getting in the way of fishing!

Congrats AK! You had this one right off the bat. I ended up only making 101.5". I got stuck going out of town this past weekend for family crap and havent been around. The month of July should be a good challenge for us all North and South!

Thought Id try an alabama rig. It was $16 alone, plus i got gamakatsu swimbait hooks, and fresh swim flukes. In all, about a $26 lure. I went to cast it once and smacked something behind me that backlashed my line. It flew, the line got taught, snapped, and there it kept going. Quite a few $12-13 lures snagged and lost too. And its always the ONE theyre keyed on on that day and not in stock anywhere! Lol

Yea it makes sense when the levels are low, esp during summer they come out into the main waterways, and out in the grass when its up, but I suck out there in either lol. I never thought to check the wm site though, thats a good idea. Thanks for the tip! Ive never gone so far west to see any foggy water. I think the farthest ive gone west is maybe a mile past the "kink" in the main canal.

I have a broken vengance and vendetta. One was replaced already, so thats 3 that ive broken. The 2 mh and h rods I have left 7' and 7-6 have made it so far. I broke my 6-6 the other day on 2 eyelets, not even just the tip on a fish no bigger than 2lbs! Bps replaced the first one no questions asked, but idk if theyll do 2 more, and pushing it even more, get a credit toward something better. I got em bc they seemed nice for 50-80 bucks, but if theyre just goin to keep breaking..... As far as the veritas go though, idk.

Man! I never get anything good out there. Now my boats in for maint. and I wont be able to go out next weekend when its out. I like it there too because its 15 min drive for me. Yo guys catching these off the main canals or out in the thick back areas? Im a real newb when it comes to the glades/okeechobee.

I was sorta slow for a little bit then started to figure them out in the past week. Went to my secret spot this morning, but it rained on me most of the time, then cleared up as soon as I was packed up of course. If work doesn't screw me, I plan on pulling in some good fish by next Friday.

I struck out at both. Just gunna have to order them. Im going to go swimming today and see if I can retrieve my break off back today too lol.

My bps doesn't carry these.. any of them in store. I ordered one not to long ago, and even though they are expensive, I want more. Ive never caught so many fish on a crank like today. I can order them, but it takes over a week to get orders, or a ridiculous amount to ship quick. Are there any other stores I can look for these at in broward/palm beach area in store? Fat chance, but thought Id ask.
