  7. I dont want anyone to learn my tricks, then you guys will get all the big fish and leave me with pip squirts! Lol
  8. Nice. Saving money is always a big factor too.
  9. Thanks guys! Shane, Ive seen a few of your videos on youtube lookin for local videos. Maybe well cross paths one day!
  10. Mine is setup with a carpet covered 3/4 plywood on hinges from the front and rests on the first bench seat so you can stand on it, then can lift it up for battery and storage. The rear bench seat is removed for more ease moving around in the back with another section of flywood for a rigid floor and i just sit on the tacklebox when motoring. Ill get some pictures up tomorrow afternoon if nobody beats me to it for an idea.
  11. Hey! You live down the street from me. I actually just bought my little pip squirt boat from a guy in Parkland.
  12. Haha condor nest! Thats awesome! Its amazing how fast young kids learn. Just getting the attention span and patience down is all I need for mine. If they catch something within 10 minutes theyre good, otherwise scooping minnows is far more exciting for them.
  13. Thanks for the feedback guys. Yea I was eyeballin the tracker v16 at bps the other day, but it seems high for primarily bein in freshwater, but it had everything else for it and some inshore saltwater. I think it had carpet all around though. And like sloan mentioned too,.. i should look into a few specialized boat dealers for more selection. How does the V handle in the wind compared to a low profile glass bass boat being aluminum. Does that offset the blowing around a little more than a standard aluminum boat?
  14. Dang its so nice to get those big fatties! Nice bucketface!
  15. I havent been fishing long, but have gotten really into it. I got a little 10' tracker with a troller and 3.5hp 4 stroke to start with once I reallized I wasnt going to put the poles down. It was good for my canals and throw in the truck or trailer to other small spots, but now that Ive gotten better, wanna try some better bigger areas and some tournaments and want a real bass boat. Ive been tryin to decide between the trackers to a nitro z6, but thing is we wanna do some saltwater/brackish fishing too. Like snook and tarpon fishing around south florida between everglades city, to the gulf side North keys. Are these boats ok for this? I dont know much about tourney rules, but ive never seen a mako flats boat in a bass tournament lol. I dont really care about going out in the ocean or high water areas, but would like to get some 25-80lb fish too once in a while, but freshwater would be the primary use.
  16. Ive heard apple chunks work too, but I havent yet tried it.
  17. I always use a trailer hook. So many times Ive had hit and misses. The fish strike em hard and usually do a u-turn kinda like a top water stike and sometimes they miss. Heres a little guy I got last week thanks to that 2nd hook...
  18. I used a spinner when I was a kid, but just recently really got into fishing and read and seen everywhere baitcasters wwhere the main setup, so when i got the money for one I got a higher rated but cheap $80 abu reel. I have all left handers as im used to cranking with my left on spinners. It took a little while to learn but now i use them for almost everything. I have vids on facebook of catching bass on the drop with weightless senkos on a baitcaster. Its just changing the setup. I use em all the time with a 10" worm t rigged with an 1/8oz tungsten w no problem. The two main reasons I prefer these are getting the fish in fast to not give it a chance to shake off the hook, and not to spook as many fish away from where im fishing. The second and most important to me is presentation and aim. I can throw at a target to hard and slow my line down with my thumb to hit it dead on. With a spool, i can also throw my bait pretty far down a bank line and stop it over the water and drop it in with a small blip in the water instead of a large splash.
  19. Good way to start the year off!
  20. That sucks. d**n i thought i had it bad with only a 3/4 and 1lb er all day. Guess i shouldnt complain. Youll get em next time!
  21. Thanks. I dont know much about peacocks, but from what I could tell they love ledges. Cought burning a white/chart spinner. Sucker broke one off the willow blades off and bent it into the straight line! The boat is nice for the canals and lakes aroud my house or throwin in the truck for places like this, but Id like to get a slightly bigger one. Its perfect for 1 person and ok for 2. Its a 10` tracker with a 45lb/3.5hp 4 stroke. For holiday, loxahatchee, and esp okeechobee type places its not so ideal.
  22. today in SW pines... biggest just a c-hair under 4lbs
  23. Thanks! Hopefully more big ones to show soon. Been sitting in the hospital lookin om the internet. Seems like a nice site here. Im sure to be yappin alot herr the next few days
  24. They are a prett good fighter. I dont think Ive ever gotten one that didnt put up a fight. I remember the first time I got one I thought it was a huge bass, then I seen it come up doing some evil death roll like a gator, got it on the shore and removed the hook with pliers and kicked the ugly devil beast back in. Didnt know what they were at the time. I just kill them now. Ive heard and read they are good eating, and they came here from Japan for a food source which spread out.
  25. They are up there. Ive seen them in small ponds all the way up in okeechobee (city) ne of 710 in some private lakes. They are everywhere in broward county. Even in private lakes ive been into. There is a small lake/pond in the waste management on wiles/powerline/sample that they are filling in to make more room for trash. Its half filled so I thought "man, gotta be bass every or every other cast in there!" nothing but gar and snakeheads!! It was swarming with snakeheads.
