  1. I recently bought a home near the lake. Does anybody have any fishing reports or past experiences fishing here?
  2. Anybody been here lately? I was there last week and fishing seemed a little slow. I fished for a little over 3 hours and caught three. All were nice fish with the biggest being a 5lb 13oz.
  3. The 1/4 oz traps are always a good choice. Has anyone tried the Ima Suspending Vibration lipless crank out? Seems like a pretty cool lure
  4. Dirty Jigs California Swim Jig in 3/8 or 1/2 oz in the crappie color is a killer for me. Other good choices are Revenge swim jigs. The 6th Sense swim jigs are also very nice
  5. I know it has been mentioned on here before but I am having issues locating what I am looking for. What are my options for trailers? I am planning on buying a new 10e in the near future and would like to have a trailer for it.
  6. Reaction Little Dippers are my top choice. Speed craws work really well too
  7. I like to fish them like a swim bait. I'll rig them on an ewg with a pegged 1/4 Oz tungsten weight and burn them around shallow grass beds.
  8. Spro Fat John, Megabass S Crank 1.2, Arashi are all goodles choices
  9. Vision 110 and Vision 110+1 are my favorites. I'd say Table Rock SP and GG Deadly Black Illusion would be good for your situation
  10. I had a 1000 Symetre FL that started to bind on me in a little over a year. The binding became so bad that I had to stop using the reel altogether. I took it apart and relubed everything but the problem persisted. I ended up buying a JDM C3000 HGM Shimano Exsence and haven't looked back.
  11. The second trip up there wasn't as good as the first. Conditions were complete opposite with blue bird skies and less than 10mph winds. We tried fishing the standing timber at all depths throughout the lake and channels with jigs and texas rigs without a single fish. What we finally ended up catching the majority of our fish on was by bumping and burning a squarebill through brush. Overall we caught some decent fish, mainly 1-2lbs with the biggest being a 3.5.
  12. I've been going up to Bone Creek once a week the past couple of weeks. On the first day, there were thunderstorms moving over Southeast KS and it was pretty nasty out with a lot of lightning. My brother and I stuck around and fished off of the Leaning Tree boat ramp area and were able to catch a few nice 2-3lb bass each. Once the storm moved in we decided to wait it out in the truck before fishing anymore. We waited about half an hour and then launched the Bass Raider. We fished up in the coves as far as we could go. The chatterbait bite was on as well as topwater. Overall we caught somewhere near 30. By far the best day I've had at Bone Creek.
  13. Siebert Dock Rocker jigs are really easy to skip. I also like the Dirty Jigs HP series for this as well
  14. The Boomerang Snip is the best 12 dollars I ever spent
  15. Dirty Jigs are always a good choice. Don't overlook the Molting Craw color in the HP Flipping jig
  16. 2500 or even a 3000. Both are identical in size. You'll have better casting with a bigger spool if you're using mono or fluoro.
  17. Jdm shimano exsence ci4+ 3000hgm. It's very similar to a Stradic ci4+ but comes with a longer handle and eva power grip. https://japanlureshop.com/shimano-exsence-ci4-c3000hgm.html
  18. What size c3 do you have? C3s are good solid reels that have been around so long for a reason. They are fully capable of doing everything a low profile baitcaster can do. Now that I've given my respects to the c3s, the new reels from any of the companies you listed will outperform the c3s overall. Especially when casting weights 3/8 and under. You also have options on gear ratios for different techniques.
  19. Swimmin fluke jr or 5" swimmin fluke Reaction innovations little dipper Zoom speed craws
  20. I'd recommend Shimano Drag Grease. It does really well staying on the gears and is a good bit thicker in viscosity compared to reel butter or Abu Ptfe. I can't comment on Penn's grease, never tried it.
  21. Fish N' Fool knot for single hook with fluoro. It's also a great knot for straight braid. San Diego Jam for moving or treble hook baits Albright knot for 10lb braid to 10lb fluoro leader on spinning gear. Alberto for 30lb braid to 17lb fluoro leader
  22. 7'1 MH/F Helium 3 with a Metanium HG with 30lb braid with a 17lb fluoro leader
  23. Blue Bug, Okeechobee Craw, Brown Metallic Purple, Alabama Bug will cover you
