  1. well done man, a junebug texas rigged worm will catch them in the heat around here too!
  2. man that looks like fun, nice catch!

  5. congrats!!
  6. google search here as well
  7. They basically bought their mailing list, IP and the brand name for more or less pennies on the dollar. They're not keeping Sports Authority in business. They're taking over the lease on some of the stores (not all) to perhaps explore options of conversion to DSG, but by no means are they going to operate a brick and mortar Sports Authority. That ship has sailed or sank, however you want to look at it.
  8. i think it'll open up a whole new world of fishing for you! i'll beat the horse and say where the PFD all the time. also, don't go crazy with rigging a bunch of stuff up until you've paddled and fished it a few times. easy to add stuff, can be hard or impossible to remove/move stuff though!
  9. looks good to me. i've thought about tying some of those puffy jigs or lion's collars or whatever you want to call them, but haven't done it yet.
  10. both very nice, but the bb1 is a little bit larger in the hand. for swim jigs, you don't need a ton of line capacity really. i'd opt for the TP myself.
  11. i'd agree with that 100%. likely one of the more genuine reviews of a sponsor product you'll see.
  12. John's "splelling" - F minus i had to.... goose, you're some kind of record keeper man! i'm not detailed like that AT ALL, but i appreciate people who are!
  13. that's some awesome scenery there Clayton. little man's got a nice little reel on that dock demon rod too! he looks like he had a good time, but i'd almost bet you had as much or more fun. there's something magical about a little kid catching fish!
  14. exactly what i have in mind kemosabe!!
  15. that reel looks sweet!
  16. 1. All of the above 2. All of the above
  17. i'm heading down to the Destin, FL area and staying at Sandestin resort July 11-15. My wife is there all week for a work conference and i'm tagging along for the free place to stay and hang out! I've read they have over 70 ponds and i can fish them all! I'm pretty stoked!
  18. they're not easy to find in stock most places. i found this one on the auction site for cheaper than most places so i snagged it. ordered on saturday and had it at my house yesterday, and it shipped from California to Georgia!
  19. had to see what the pompadour hype is all about!
  20. once the wind starts blowing and the water is moving a little bit, the spinnerbait bite can be phenomenal!
  21. i absolutely love that owner deep throat hook. hookups are great, they're super stout and it keeps the trailer on a little better. all the jig heads i just bought from Mike have that hook. my buddy calls it the "gaff hook"
  22. just wanted to say that the 6'10" MHF Tatula rod may be the most versatile rod i've ever used. i have one and really do love it. it can handle just about any technique you want aside from maybe crankbaits.
  23. interesting spot in the lineup. at the same price point, does make one wonder if the savvy will go away, especially with the cloud of negativity around the savvy line.
