  1. if you ever plan on putting a trolling motor on it, you will likely need to register it with your state. i had to get a bill of sale, country of origin and can't remember what else in order to do so in GA.
  2. my mamaw keeps a .38 by the bed and a 12 gauge by the door and there's not much that will scare her. she's deadly with a pistol too, no joke the best shooter i know with a handgun!
  3. My wife has always wanted to go to Italy as her grandparents were both born there. So after much hard work and planning, we left on Sunday 9/4 and got back yesterday 9/13. We went to Rome, Pompeii, Positano, Florence, Venice and then jumped over to Barcelona because i've had many friends say it was a great place to go. We did it all too! If there was a site to see in one of those places, i'm pretty sure we saw it. I have to admit i was pretty skeptical at first, but afterwards i will say it was one of the greatest experiences i've had yet! I've been out of the country a number of times, but only in North and South America, Europe was totally different on most every account. Food was FANTASTIC, both in Italy and in Spain. And the best thing was honestly the produce! I ate sooooooo many tomatoes, peaches and grapes it was insane, but they were so much better than back home it was unbelievable! I highly recommend the trip if you ever are afforded the opportunity to take it! A few pics from the trip: Positano Florence Fish Market Pizza (OF COURSE): Florence at Sunset Venice from a boat: Barcelona beach: Barcelona fish market:
  4. booyah pad crasher and popping pad crashers are hard to beat for the money and meet your criteria!
  5. that's cool!
  6. i'd go this route right here over every option you've listed. i have 2 lightning shock rods and pfluegers are the only spinning reels i own. won't be disappointed in this combo!
  7. just a few months back, about 11AM on a bluebird day. tossed a siebert brush head jig with a homemade skirt at an isolated brush pile in about 8 feet of water. fish took it on the fall, i didn't really feel it but saw my line swimming off and swung for the fences.
  8. only reason i have to "hate" on spiderwire is because of the glo-viz i think it's called. used it BRIEFLY at that and hated it. it left a slimy sticky tacky whatever you want to call it residue on the spool, reel and guides. not sure if it was a bad batch or what, but i have no intention of trying that again.
  9. i've got a couple/few swept carbon handles that fit abu, i think from a revo premier. not sure if they'd work on your stx though. if you find that they do, let me know and maybe we can work out a deal on one.
  10. seems to make no difference around here. i've been using yellow braid for a while and i don't think the fish have noticed or seemed to care.
  11. i love mine! one of these days i hope to find a 25 size for an ultralight combo. i have the 35 size and it is a phenomenal reel.
  12. the booyah pad crashers are very hard to beat, especially for the money.
  13. i've done this several times on here before... some feel like hits, some feel like misses... i think the offer above from everything swims is about as good as you might find. he's one heck of a young fisherman and i'm sure he'd find someone in need to pass the baits along to at their event.
  14. awesome catch!
  15. fish grip junior is definitely the way to go... they were talking about this on Bassmaster live at the potomac. I believe it was Zona talking about how ridiculous it is the amount of technology in fishing yet they still use the metal clips from stringers back in the day. i've caught a couple fish that looked like their jaw was going to rot off from the culling clips being poked through them.
  16. Sick! I'll get my board waxed up and ready to roll!
  17. i don't know and frankly don't care much about college football..... but i sure hope the heels beat the dawgs this weekend and shut all these GA fans up!! i know it's a long shot, but that would be an early christmas present for me!
  18. i don't even know where to start......
  19. welcome to GA.... i'm not too familiar with anything in your area. Do you have a boat or kayak or anything or just hitting the bank?
  20. LOL, was this @Raider Nation Fisher at the boy scout retreat?
  21. it's what keeps me coming back man!
