  1. lew's speed spool lfs can be found on e bay for $80 and is a better reel than the promax i'd also keep an eye on the flea market forum on here as there are some great deals that pop up from time to time
  2. this game is great already! those indians fans are HYPE!!!
  3. i use the 5" a lot, but will go to a 4" too. the size of fish doesn't seem to change, but some days they want that smaller bait, sometimes the bigger bait.
  4. awesome fish man!
  5. WOW those are some fatties!!
  6. those do look intriguing!! the panther martin inline spinner is one of my favorite all around all species baits. the black/yellow body with the gold blade will catch anything swimming! might have to scoop one or two of these banshees up!
  7. i think you nailed it Kyle, that's what i'd steer him towards! Get the 6940 size and spool with braid and he's set!
  8. FREE ROD you say?!?!?!? that's awesome!
  9. one thing to do to try and determine a ballpark on the value is going to the bay and checking out "sold listings" to see what they've sold for recently. again that's a ballpark estimate. be sure to factor in the shipping costs, especially for rods which can get a little dicey.... i think you have a far better chance for selling when you break it up into groups of like items. It's hard to sell 100 tackle items sometimes, but if you break it up into lots of cranks, spinners, plastics, etc. you're more likely to find an audience for what the buyer wants.
  10. he might be thinking about an actual flea market, like the ones that sell produce, baby clothes, LED signs, stolen laptops, knockoff sports apparel and your grandpa's junk fishing gear....
  11. that sounds like a pretty awesome way to re-purpose that lure retriever!
  12. helena, mt is a beautiful place... would be a nice scenic 2.5 hour ride, i mean 2.5 days from NJ
  13. or cried...
  14. nice report and sounds like a great trip with the pops! if he's senior, you're junior does that make little man BB3?
  15. and that bait flying out right at the net!!!! can you imagine the disappointment had it come out seconds earlier.....
  16. that's awesome!
  17. i don't have a dog in this fight, but i'd like to see the indians win for some reason that i really can't explain!
  18. don't be.... if you use it regularly and it doesn't break in the first year it's fine. anything that breaks after year 1 was likely user error. problem with that lifetime warranty is all the tools that abuse it.... what that means is that people like me who take good care of their gear pay the price for those that don't....
  19. can't go wrong with a pflueger at the president level and above. if i were you i'd try to find a supreme for under that $100 mark which should be easy enough for the models prior to the newer XT version.
  20. contact mike siebert @Siebert Outdoors and he'll hook you up with whatever color you want!
  21. that looks great!
  22. gracias raul! do you maybe know any other source for those 2 parts i'm looking for or is hedgehog probably my best bet here? looking for simple old black color, but want to ditch the plastics that were stock on the reel. almost feel foolish on how much i've got in aftermarket parts (hedgehog handle, winn grip knobs, avail spool, carbontex drag, hedgehog zr bearings) for this reel, but man i love the thing for cranking! it's unbelievably smooth on the retrieve, casts like a dream and has just the right gear ratio/IPT for me. not to mention it will probably outlive me!
  23. For those who have the NRX 852c, what do you primarily use the rod for? Which line and reel are you using with it? I already have one, just looking for some feedback on what people are using it for!
  24. I'm looking to replace the star drag and brake cap on my curado 101B to something metal vs the stock plastic. I've found items on hedgehog that i'm pretty sure will be compatible, but trying to confirm. As i understand the curado 101B is compatible with the curado 100d, chronarch 50mg and scorpion 1000. hedgehog has products listed for the curado 100d, chronarch 50mg and scorpion 1000, but doesn't say on the site they're compatible with the curado 100b series. items i'm looking at are: star drag: http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product/384 brake knob: http://www.hedgehog-studio.co.jp/product-list/52 anyone know if these will fit my reel? thanks in advance!
  25. the tatula/vendetta combo look like they were made for each other! nice setups! those 2 look good together! i have a 30 size patriarch and absolutely love it. nice combo!
