  1. The original tatula rod series (not the xt) are the best bang for the buck of any rod i own. I have a 6'10" MHF tatula that is my favorite all around rod... it is awesome. I recently picked up a 7'2"HF tatula for frogs and heavy jigs, but haven't used it yet. I wouldn't hesitate to snag another one either.
  2. Dog x by a large margin for me. I was not much of a fan on the x pods, but the giant dog x is the easiest walking pencil bait and they can't resist that thing when the top water bite is on.
  3. Had a sample of it at a bar one time and thought "this is disgusting.... now I want pancakes" seriously undrinkable, but it's an alcoholic's answer for breakfast...
  4. i'm no fan on hank 3, nor hank 2 (aside from family tradition), but hank 1 was the man. i loved his music as a kid and still listen to him from time to time. sturgill is the man though. i can listen to that newer cd, sailor's guide, on repeat for days on end. he killed it on the nirvana cover of in bloom too. and toby keith is garbage!
  5. i use the same app, it's pretty handy!
  6. nailed it! but seriously, who even watches these garbage awards shows anymore?
  7. so sorry to hear that
  8. stopped by Dick's the other day and they had buy 5 clearance items get 5 free as well as 50% off the clearance fishing clothing. i snagged the only 9 terminator t1's they had left at $8.97 so less than $5 each and a 300yd spool of 20lb power pro along with a Huk t shirt, huk long sleeve shirt and a long sleeve columbia pfg shirt. all that for $95! i gave 2 of the T1's to a buddy of mine for borrowing his pressure washer so i still have 7 for myself. to be the best spinnerbait i can think of, they have the WORST packaging of any product on the shelves! every one of these had the plastic front separating from the cardboard backing.
  9. sounds like a fun road trip!
  10. that's a largemouth and a NICE ONE at that!! congrats to the little man!!
  11. wow, nice fish!
  12. nice fish blaine! on the new reel perhaps? mahalo!
  13. they all vary greatly it seems like. the most important factors are length, insurance amount (if any) and the final destination. I've paid less to ship to UT and OR than inside the state of GA!
  14. beat me to it... almost seems counter intuitive, but the hydraflo boxes are great at letting all the moisture out and keeping the rust away.
  15. i cannot drink wine nor beer without an instant migraine.... liquor, no problem. if there's no liquor available i'll settle for a water, soda or sweet tea. i can't even finish a 12oz beer before i have a killer migraine. the wife is all about the wine though. we recently went to italy and spain and since we've been back she keeps talking about how good the wine was over there!
  16. one of my employees always raves about the pappy van winkle... may have to give that a shot! congrats on the anniversary, the wife and i are celebrating 2 years on wednesday. may have to find a place with a nice bottle selection!
  17. just got an x-10 and might have to throw some bladed jigs on that bad boy! i used to have a dobyns 705cb glass that was awesome for throwing 3/8-1/2oz bladed jigs on as well.
  18. from one braid color to the next, no difference at all. i have yellow power pro on 3 or 4 of my outfits. especially in a stained water scenario, no difference. if i'm fishing a really clear lake i'll go with a leader, but most of the lakes i fish have a little stain to them so i rarely use the leader. if a single bite is lost from green to yellow, i think being able to see the yellow line would make that bite back up. not long ago i threw a senko out, had a nice overrun, picked it out and looked up to see my yellow line moving down the weedline! never felt the first tap with all the slack line i had out. had it been green i may or may not have seen it so easily!
  19. saw that same deal, which was too good to pass on if you wanted a new cranking stick! and i would agree the combo looks great together!
  20. i went a little "hawg wild" on some handle purchases here lately! These 3 are for a curado 51e, core 51mg7 and aldebaran mg7. The one with the cork knobs is going on the curado.
  21. thought raider was just using the term..... then i scroll down and see the pic and nope sure enough dude's got red headed step children!!!!
  22. so sorry to hear that man
  23. it's only a problem if you say it is or if you can't afford it..... so no i don't have a problem, i just enjoy buying and trying new things and keeping the ones i like, getting rid of anything i don't like or use much....
  24. if you don't want to expend much time or energy in the sale (as in list out everything you're offering) you're going to have be really flexible (like way flexible) in your price.
  25. jigs and cranks for me
