  1. Yeah, was looking at them and thought they were neat. I might get my hands on one soon. And by new model you mean the Exceler 100? For $99
  2. I saw this reel at Cabelas for $44.99. It has an aluminum frame, something reels of this price range don't usually have. Has anyone had it and would recommend it? For such a low price, it's got some nice features.
  3. Yes, on average I will get about 1-3 decent bass (varies incredibly) using a variety of techniques. on days where nothing else seems to be working, this method produces.
  4. Actually, I use no weight or jig head. Just a larger octopus hook right through a flick shake. The bait sinks fairly slowly, but it sinks enough on its own. If I used a weight, I would use a very small split shot on the line directly above the hook.
  5. The bottle recommends spreading the attractant on a hard bait while you're fishing, replenishing every 10-20 casts. I have found that although this may help some, it is much more effective when used to marinate soft plastics the day/week before a trip.
  6. I have a Plano Softsider X tackle bag, and it has this large storage pocket on the front, and 2 smaller pouches on the side which are perfect for storing soft plastics.
  7. Recently while bass fishing with my cousin, he showed me this very simple, but very effective technique. We wacky rig a Jackall 5.8 inch Flick Shake worm, go to a shady area near the side of our small lake, drop it to around 10-15 feet, and slowly tug up in short bursts. Sometimes we let the baits "marinate" in Powerbait bass attractant overnight. This method has given us tons of nice largemouths, and more to come this fall! Anyone else use this method?
  8. Was thinking about that, but my bag has a great place to store my soft plastics, so I went this route. All my baits should retain their "flavor", right? Its only been about 4 or 5 months.
  9. Anyone have good methods to store their soft plastic baits? I have a bunch that I bought last year that are mostly brand new and I store them in their original packaging in my tackle bag (to keep scents fresh )
  10. Not to mention the fact that I think it looks 10x cooler, I think it's a lot more comfortable when casting.
  11. X2 I love my Citica.
  12. If the baits could mold together easily, companies wouldn't put 10 of them in a small bag.
  13. Yamamoto double tail hula grub. Texas rigged and jig trailer.
  14. Ok thanks.
  15. Hello everyone, today I just visited my vacation home and found a nice stash of crankbaits that haven't been used for 4 or 5 months(some have never been used). The hooks seem pretty sharp in my opinion, however, is there a way to test if a hook is sharp enough?
  16. Thats so cool. Way to go!
  17. A few days ago my cousin told me that if I keep my plastics in Plano boxes, then the boxes can warp. Is this true?
  18. Introduction Hi! My name is Vince and I am a 14 year old fisherman from southeastern Pennsylvania. I have been fishing since I was 2, and fishing is my favorite thing to do. I am not necessarily looking to get sponsored for free stuff, I would just like to help spread the name of a smaller company out there, and get myself involved in the great world of tournament fishing. Experience I have been fishing for 12 years now, having been introduced to fishing by my dad and my uncle when I was a just little boy. I currently fish about 3 or 4 times a week during the bass fishing season, sometimes more. I am very fortunate to live within 3 miles of two great bass fishing areas, and to have a vacation home near another great fishing lake. I feel that I am a skilled fisherman, and seek improvements in these skills each and every time I hit the water. Skills I have listed below some of the areas of fishing I feel that I am strong in. Crankbaits Jigs Swimbaits Texas rigging soft plastics Education At the moment I am still in 8th grade(middle school), and have achieved in my opinion, a strong study habit for later education. I currently possess a 96% grade average and have earned high honor roll three years in a row. I plan on finishing high school, college, and grad school, and maybe get a job in the dentistry field. In conclusion, I just want to help a smaller company out there in spreading their name. I have many friends/family members who are big fishermen, and would help me (and you) in doing so. I am an experienced fisherman, and I feel that I would be a great addition to your staff. I know I am young, but I feel that I am "old" for my age. If you would consider giving me an e-mail, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. My e-mail address is VinnieTbro@gmail.com

  22. Well, my dad and my uncle both contributed to my love of fishing, and now I'm passing that down to my younger cousin.
  23. I'm actually a righty in almost everything I do. For some reason, I just feel more comfortable fishing lefty. Now I know how you lefties feel!
  24. I have the same problem. I just sent Abu an e-mail too.
