I'm definitely bottom and structure oriented. Its my go to, (jigs,t rigs, c rigs, shaky heads,) I also know when I need to move a bait horizontally. A lot of times ill use the horizontal moving baits to zero in on where I need to be to set up the jigs and t rigs. Last Saturday I could not buy a bite. But as soon as I threw the chatterbait and big squarebill it was on. There is nothing like a jig bite, or pulling a 5 lb fish with 10lbs of salad draped over him.

Powell Endurance 725. Its a freakin broom stick with a super soft tip. I used it last week for some 3/4 and 1oz wake baits and it did fine with that too! ,

I'm all for the 150 Powell endurances, but there is an interesting deal going on right now...dicks has shimano Crucials for 120. That's a good deal. I don't know what your needs are but a mix of endurance, cheap crucials and my cranking rods would be of the 75-100 variety. Good options out there.

Jb I agree that all people are allotted the god given right to have their own opinions and views. But here's where we are with this. Mr. sterling is apart of group made up of 30 owners and their ball clubs. The group has a standard of conduct that insures the group (nba) can grow and reach out tonall demographics. Any violations of this code of conduct can put a black eye on the league as a whole ans cause detrimental effefts By placing himself in a position that a mistress, a women who is nothis wife ccan record him making several racist remarks is indeed detrimental. For example his team has already lost 12 major sponsors in less than 3 days. We live in a world that is very PC and the sponsors and networks that make the NBA world to round are ticked off. Besides when Mr.Sterling bought the team and entered the leqgue, he knew and understood the rules and ramifications of owner misconduct. He may own the team, but he can be voted out of the NBA. The NBA will not tolerate any owners or executives that put them in a bind.

I'm just still stuck on how stupid this man is. I whole heartedly feel that hos attitude, thought process and words were hateful and not acceptable. I still play softball a few times a week. I don't think it cuts into fishing time too much. I still fish more than most so I'm a blessed man. And ive fished more this year than all of 2013 combined. Its nice not being on the road any more

Texas rigged with a 1/8 tungsten bullet. Or on a 1/8 oz wide gap wacky jig head. I think buckeye makes the ones I like. The way I honestly utilize a senko the most often is on a Carolina rig.

Alot of those guys may still have ice or seasons that are closed still... They will be on the fish soon. Down here in the south and middle of the country we have fishin with no real stopage. There's a lot of good fish, fisheries, and fishermen up north.. Give it a few weeks, guys like AJay, MNbassman, JFrancho, FrogTurds,Speedbead, WW2farmer, WNY, will all be spanking our butts. Those guys and plenty of others on here and nation wide prove that there's plenty of good fishing up north. I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with ice or in the MN guys case a closed bass season.

Chrome purple is a staple of mine in early spring on both shallow cranks and jerk baits. I really like natural and translucent colors but there's just something about chrome on a high sky day that produces. Gold on cloudy or dirty water days has done well for me.

I treat it like a jig rod because I've got a big Ol Exposed hook. I really like a xf or F action. I want to be able to get a good quick hookset. Now the timing on the hookset and when you feel the bump or weight on your line is something I've learned. A 7'mh f or xf is really all you need. No need to get super particular for the sake of it.
