  1. No clear favorite, as each rod has a different job. Powell Endurance 695cb Powell Endurance 804cb Daiwa Ballistic 7'7"M. Mod Daiwa Ballistic 7'2" MH mod All of these are good rods, but I like the longer ones for deeper cranks and I like more back bone in my go cranking rods and squarebill rods....
  2. I wish I would have seen this thread earlier today. But I actually got some fishing in... APRW1, I agree with that statement In theory.... But I have that rod. In fact I have most of the rods made in the Endurance line up... Its my opinion that its not a true extra fast...and those particulqr rods do well with braid...braid is all I use except for cranking and jerks. To the OP, you will enjoy that rod and that reel. I have that exact same set up and use it for jigs mainly 3/8-3/4 Like Arb said, set your drag a notch or two lower than its supposed to be and i will be just fine
  3. Good trade. Better than the 150 I suggested. I'm a low baller by nature...

  7. I kinda pictured Raider and Slonezp sitting on a couch on the front porch of a single wide trailer with their own theme song.
  8. Haha it would be like Wayne's World meets Swamp People. Im totally in favor of Raider getting his own show.
  9. Offer him 150 for both. You never know.....he may be hard up

  15. Powell or Dobyns in the 764 765 range.
  16. So the Bad News Bears won a game? That's incredible!
  17. Both Costa and Oakley make great glasses. I have two pair of Costas and one set of Oaks that I play ball in.. Best advice...get a big frame that won't let light in. Get amber lenses. Amber is the probably the BEST for most water and bottom sediment colors. Go to a store and try them on....even of they dont have amber...just see which frames you like ans fit you face. I always go to store to try them on, then I find them cheaper online. Alot of dudes really like WileyX, Strike King S11,.and the Calcutta glasses. I would go for a premium brand if you can
  18. #1 locate the sticky thread on jig fishing #2 keep a jig tied on at all times, throw it often and try different things
  19. Welcome!
  20. If its the full size brush hog, then rig them with a 4/0 or a 5/0 hook Texas style. I like 1/4 oz up to 1.5oz depending on current and cover. Good lures. Go back and buy the rest of them if you have the money and they have good colors.
  21. Not only is it worth the extra 100, I feel like its competitive with the reels in the 250+ range. It can be found for 150 on a reg basis. I have 5 TPs and I love then. Simply awesome little reels.
  22. ^^^^ love this guy,^^^ Good looking deck there Adam
