  1. Hell yeah it counts.
  2. This.... if you plan to resell, you have to keep the integrity of what it is and sell it as that product. You could probably and get buy with it for a while, but selling a "knockoff" is a crime. So do your home work and stay legal and legitimate. Even if that means selling trash plastic from"who knows where", let your customer know what it is. I'd go far as to test the product, play with it and then sell it. Because in the end, integrity is all we have as men But to be honest, I wouldnt waist my time with plastics. It's a hard market to make a buck. You would be better off to make jigs for yourself and for the fun of it, and sell q couple to your pals to help offset the cost. You wont make a million doing it, but it is fun, and feels good catching a bass on a jig tied
  3. Mine hasnt bled at all
  4. I dont think you are. If it suits what you do, then it just works. If I have 10 rods on the boat, 2 are spinning. But I know guys who are opposite. They may carry 7 spinning and 2 castiing for power fishing and 1 flipping stick
  5. If color fade bothers you I take care of that with a sharpie. You can color several feet of it, or color in a hash pattern...I call that red neck camo. For the op. I use 50lb on most of my set ups with various leaders. To me, it compares to a quality old school braid like power pro. I started buying it because I can buy it a few bucks cheaper. I have some 30 as well but only one a spinning rod and 1 bait cast rod.
  6. I've been buying it. I like it. Double uni knot.
  7. Been such a good summer so far for my son who just turned 10 last week. So far he has broken his p.b twice fishing. 3.8 on a Texas rig worm, 4.6 by swimming a jig with craw trailer. Had me.going out of.my.mind!!! In baseball this year he has done good. He plays multiple positions even tho he's a lefty like me and it awkward playing 2nd and 3rd base. Well tonight while we were up 19 -6 will two outs, the coach asked his buddy (another player) to pitch and close out the game since our pitcher from last night was on rest, our starter tonight was over his pitch count, and our regular closer was struggling in a bad way. The boy told.the coach no and that He wasn't ready. So they asked my boy. He took the ball out of the coaches hand and said, yes sir. I'll show you what i.got. He closed it out...he walked two initially (after getting to a full count each) and then struck out a very good hitter. Very proud daddy moment. My son has never.pitched a game before..not.even in practicw.. He was so calm, the.moment wasn't to big.for him and he looked for doing it. PROUD DAD HERE. IT may not sound like much to talk but it was.to me. You guys have any proud dad moment this summer?
  8. Sounds like you got a good plan. I despise deep cranking. But I can add drop shots and spy baits are worth a look. Soft swimbaits on 1/2 once head work well for me too. Work it just like you would a heavier spinner bait. Sometimes the paddle tails work well when a spinner bait wont.
  9. Oh ok. 15 for me too... I guess if you HAD to get it down you might could go to 10... but I personally have other sqaurebills that get that me a full 6 ft.
  10. Aired up the.tires
  11. I think daiwa does really good at making great rods for the money. My God son, still has both of the procyon rods I got him back in 2014. Hard to beat daiwa on performance and value.
  12. No you arent. Alot of "pattern" anglers pretty much forget them this time of year. I did for a long time.
  13. What size line are you using? I imagine you could go lighter and make it go a little deeper, but in the same token, if you fish a squarebill thenway I do, you may no want to go much lighter than 12-15
  14. @FishTank I know buddy. It stinks. Glad they were able to send you one tho. The one I broke was an OG. Vertias....those things were notoriously fragile.. I'm glad they didn't send me another one. Lol I sold the rod thst they sent.
  15. Glad you had a good experience with them. I had to deal with Pure Fishing one time over a broken rod. The lady was polite and understanding and since they were out of the rod I had they upgraded me to the same model in the lineup just above it. It was at my house in less than a week. It was a good experience.
  16. Dude you are only 2 colors away from just getting the dredge kit. Good colors. Looks alot like orders I would make.
  17. Hey mike, what's some instances you would use one over the other? Which one do u personally fish more?
  18. There is a online test you can take to tell the different between a LM and a Spot... I never get a perfect 100% on it. Like 90 lol
  19. I know what I have...and it works well. But for me, the "ultimate frog rod" has to have the following things - soft tip - stiff enough to work the bait -big backbone - not a long handle - shorter than 7'6. 7ft to 7'3 works well...dont forget it is a top water lure that you are using the rod for action. - rod that works well as pitching stick, or sensitive enough flip or punch. If not not good flipping stick, at least have actions for for heavy moving baits. I cant afford to sink money in just a "frog rod" its gonna be pulling double duty frogging and whatever else. My powell 735 is used frigging, pitching, big topwater lures, and even over sized jerkbaits. ...so pretty much everything after big topwaters die off. Really good football jig rod. So what brand and model is that.... I dont know.... but I like mine.
  20. On a different note, my striper/inshore rods are set ups are all the same. 3- duckett inshore 7'0 MH 3- ducket inshore 7'6MH All have a and abu c4 5600 25 lb big game on all of them. Wasnt a ducket follower, but got all those rods for half of what they cost...they do well for me. I like that the handle is shorter than what I used to have. Picked up 4 of the c4s years ago at a garage sale from an angry woman.
  21. Nah man... alot of us have that mindset oh having set ups specifically selected for different techniques. Probably why I only have 1 duplicate set. But different strokes for different folks. Alot of the guys that post kn this thread are awesome fishermen and have multiple duplicates, and there are some like you and me that barely have any. I have friend that I used to fish with alot that will not spend more than 75 bucks or so on a rod or a reel and he places in top 3 frequently of alot of tournaments...if you are good you are good.
  22. They definitely get over looked during the hot months. I cant say that I keep on tied on thru the summer because I just dont. But I have had good mornings in july and August when bass are scattered out on points and not really feeding. I've even used them around docks...pretty deadly if you can get on them. I have a bunch of models, I like the pointer, the vision110, luck e strike stx is ok,...too many more to list. I work them.fast and hard... it's something that I'm gonna focus on starting late fall and make it a focus to get better at.
  23. ?????
  24. I dont know buddy. I haven't bought any I still using the old purples. I have 2 723. I love em If they are 99 bucks...I'd buy 2 more of each
