  1. Congrats. Looks good too
  2. I used to keep my extra in a plasttic tote in my closet, but now with a child in the home, i bought another locking safe, a smaller one but it is locking and that is important to me.
  3. Its really cool that you are doing that. Kudos
  4. LGM Gambler just got a headache. Hey i just got a Stradic FJ a couple weeks ago and that thing is sweeeet.
  5. My wife is pretty good about it. She gets a cell phone upgrade at least once a year, drives a nice car and buys bags, shoes, and expensive ipad and iphone covers. I work two jobs and odd jobs so that we can live comfortably. She understands the sacrifices i have made over the years and doesnt give me too much crap when i buy something... (except for December when i spent well over 850 bucks and didnt tell her and didnt buy her anyything) my wife has an avid pearl that i bought for her, but whens not on the boat that rod gets used!!
  6. Have u tried a dab of glue
  7. I would think that the JM series would be third at best. PQ,extreme, and then JM
  8. If you have the luxury of being able to choose 4x4 or not, take the 4x4. Having 4x4 is kind of like having toilet paper with you on the boat, its pays for itself the first time that you really need it.
  9. When in doubt take it to a shop and get their advice and or let them do it.
  10. The best way for me to know for a fact when these transition periods start/end is by continuing to fish my home lakes as much and as often as i can. Keep an eye on water temps too, but the best way i tell from year to year is by going out there and fishing and figuring them out as often as i can. Try to stay on top of them. Everybody had super good technical advice, thats all i can add without saying what they said. Get on the articles section and spend your down time reading and researching.
  11. Suicides huh?... id say you committed suicide when you sent that email to your mom.
  12. lake Gaston NC/VA. Beautiful lake. There are multiple opportunities for house rental and bboat rentals. Located on the NC/VA border. Heres a couple sites that should help. http://www.lakegastonguide.com/ http://www.vacationonlakegaston.com
  13. Dude that is so wrong.

My thing is if you want a huge 6crank inch lure and u want to fish it deep, why not use a big ol 3oz swimbait?
  16. Jig - 7' - 7'6" Medium Heavy -fast action Crankbait 7ft Medium Moderate action
  17. Bantam Curado CU200 was my first also. I have two, and one of them is in the line up every trip. The other is a reliable spare. I have made it known that i buy Lews reel, but Ive used and own a few from different brands. Knowing what i know now, having used other reels ill say this, shimano is a great company with good quality. If i couldnt get Lews reels i would be a shimano reel man. And if i see a deal, ill still buy a shimano fast! That said, i bought a stradic fj a couple weeks ago for a steal! And a cumara at christmas for a steal. Largemouth gambler, i do commend you for standing on a company that you support.
  18. What is your price range? Used or new? Fiberglass or aluminum?
  19. My son and i like to watch fishing videos on you tube when we are bored. Take this time to research new lures and techniques. You probably been doing that all day, but thats all i got. Lol hang in there
  20. A fish is a fish. My first fish of 2013 was a chain pickrel that was trying hard to get wrapped around my trolling motor. My first bass wasnt much bigger than yours. My 1oz football jig and trailer took up the whole inside of its mouth...lol
  21. Prayers sent your way. I hope you feel better
  22. I had to add this one, my son and I. The best fishing partner ive ever had.
  23. I take mine every chance i get, there will be a day when my chances will be fewer.
