  1. Chris Lane is making huge moves too! A few more ounces and he can break into the top 20. Hes having the best day so far according to BassTrak
  2. OOh and welcome to the site! Good to have you.
  3. Im not big on Kistler rod, but really any of these rods will do fine. Ive heard nothin but good things about the perfecta ans savvy.
  4. We all know that defending Classic Champ Chris Lane came in with 0lb yesterday. His brother Bobby, actually did well finishing 16th with 15 and a half lbs. We know that anglers can be super secretive. But this is the bassmaster Classic! Question, if you are Bobby Lane, do you try to help or give pattern information to your brother last night? My answer. Absolutely. Classic or not when he comes in that kind of goose egg, he is wounded. Chris Lane sounded upbeat in his blog, but i think it was a front. That kind of day really messes with your head. And im sure bobby saw that ****i ask this hypotheical question and i am in no way inferring anything that may or may not have actually happened****
  5. Simple. Because HE WANTS ONE and HE CAN AFFORD IT. We buy stuff all the time that we dont need. We got guys on here that buy G Loomis NRX and St. Croix Legend Extreme but two of the tops pros in the world yesterday finished days one of the classic in the top 4 with quantum rods and Abu rods. (Hardly highend stuff...mid grade at best)
  6. Dang
  7. My preference is a 6'6"Med. It needs to be on the short side. A shorter handle is a plus too. I like to use as light of mono as i can get away with which is 10. (Last fall it was 8) i also use this rod for a jerkbait rod. Lighter line is good for casting distance, espeacially on those reallyy light poppers.
  8. Well he has an estimated 13lbs so far...thats twice what anybody has so far today! I hope he can come roaring back and compete tmw.
  9. Thats a strong top ten
  10. ...and the Volitile is bright blue.
  11. The volittile has been on sale for a while at TW. Its designed to be an inshore rod but almost all of the actions will work for us. Its priced the same as the Veritas. 99 bucks. Id like to see them bring a highend rod in the mix. There are you tube videos about the Volitile.
  12. Good ol boy from NC. Hank iis the face of Cashion Rods down here.
  13. Im ready to see what the real weights are...for the top 10... or alledged top ten
  14. Bass track was wayyyyy off on cliff pace!!
  15. I thought that too..
  16. X2 on the Helios. Coastal Zillion or Abu Toro NaCl would look good on an Abu Garcia Volitile. I like the blue.
  17. Good stuff. I want to be on Harris lake sometime durring the spawn...there are some lunkers there...
  18. How soon before you get the motor and electronics? Get it right and get some fishing in so yyou can put me on the fish when i bring mine down to Shearon Harris Lake in April/may.
  19. Keep the livewell light. Remember it is a small boat you dont want too much weight. 7lbs to the gallon adds up fast.
  20. Million dollar question. Bobby, are you gonna buy a few and try them?
  21. I know what you mean... im just saying, if that were my kid. Id be thrilled about his talent, but i would still want him to focus on college education just as i would if he didnt have any talent. In that young mans sport, it only takes ONE fall to end his skating FOREVER. Have a back up plan. Those degrees are not only good if he is involved in the sport but for anybody. How many guys do we see leave college early for the NFL and wash out and come back home and take a 10.00/hr job when the little bit of money runs out... it happens all the time.
  22. Good stuff Bobby!! Cheers to you.
  23. Yea but having that kind of talent would go great with a marketing or communications degree.
  24. Theres only one way to find out. Buy your most productive color and see...
  25. Bait monkey just put me in a choke hold. Ordered a Cardiff 300A on TW.
