  1. I like Chartruese. I know I see it best in merky water.
  2. Looks like a good "trick" style worm
  3. Once again Acadamy has the H2) Xpress Wake that goes surface to 6". The bluegill catches alot of fish for me. Cast well too http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_22469_-1__?color=Bluegill&N=97009336&Ntt=wake&Ntk=All An Acadamy does do internet sales now.
  4. Have you tried the Acadamy H2) xpress CRS? I found it fishes very similar to the LC 1.5. $4 has VMC hooks and killer natural Bluegill and Redear paintjobs. http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_22314_-1
  5. I highly reccomend the braid with a flouro or mono leader. Pay the $5 shipping and get the free spool of 12# braid here for your spinning rod http://tuf-line.com/free-line.php Braid will last multiple seasons without needing replacement. It is strong and you will lose less lures fishing from the shore. Give it a try.
  6. To be honest I dont really throw those color. I would imagine they would as bass have been known to hit wackier colors than that. You never know till you try
  7. You would be surprised how small a bass will hit those, especia;;y at night. The pike will destroy it too
  8. I also reccomend a 4 or 5" Senko type bait. Fish it wacky and weightless. You will learn what the bite feels like and bass hold on so you have time to set the hook. Also a great spring technique when bass move shallow to the bank where you are fishing.
  9. I have not made that color in a while. It was a "mistake" color LOL. I have written in my files... 8 oz clear plastic 1/8 teaspoon LC pearl blue powder 30 drops LC strawberry (any red should work) Give that a try in a smaller batch
  10. I agree and prefer greens and especially browns. Junebug is good though. Thanks all...Bill
  11. I would like to see a small jerkbait and some topwaters (popper, buzzbait, frog, walker) Otherwise looks like you have it covered
  12. Wind has ALOT to do with what weight is needed for me.
  13. I use 3/8 in up to 35'
  14. I have made Senkos in what I call Electric Blue, and do real well with them. Normally I stay away from blue baits, but I have not seen a Senko color they wont bite. Here is a Tequila color that works well. Bait is all one color but changes in the light andthickness BTW baits are for myself as a hobby and I dont sell them
  15. Been hearing alot about Morning Dawn color. Here is a version I just made up. Pink on one side and blue pearl powder and a few drops of red on the other. Both sides have 015 Ocean flake
  16. Looks like this goes pretty deep. Maybe too deep for a shallow water bite.
  17. Yes. The tops warp badly.
  18. Mcstick is a quality solid lure. Actually they all are. Great hooks. More subtle action. Pointer goes a little deeper and is more erratic.
  19. Tubes/Worms/Plastics-Green pumpkin, watermelon/red, Black/blue Spinnerbaits-White/Chartruese, Bluegill, Bleeding shiner Lipless Cranks-Chrome/black, Red craw, Firetiger/Perch Jigs-Green pumpkin, Black/blue, Brown/orange
  20. I was never big on jerkbaits but started using them this winter with good success in the 42-45* water. I tried Husky Jerk, RC STX, Pointer 100, rogue, Mcstick, and a BPS. I really like the pointer the best and bought more of those.
  21. Yes those baits are painted, hence the terrible smell
  22. I use Mustad Ultra Point Power Lock Plus in 3/0 1/8 oz. The weight on these slide foward or back for different fall angles. I also have an extra bunch of these hooks cheap if ya need.
  23. I am visually impaired and cant see the line so fish by feel. Try to braid and you can thank me later
