  1. Odd comparison as said. Jig is MUCH more versatile.
  2. For me it's a wacky stick and more recently the NED. Other would prob say jig/craw or Texas rig worm.
  3. Ya I have been using the Z Craw with good sucess this year. Or these lil guys on a 1/8 weedless head. I guess we are gettin out of the proper NED rig tho. And the ones with the flappin claws def dont skip as well.
  4. From pics shown here the Rippin Rap looks by far the thinnest and most pointed nose.
  5. I think the whole Tungsten thing is BS unless flipping heavy weights. If you cant feel everything your lead weight is hitting then you are using the wrong rod, line etc. And fish wont care how big the head is. Who knows, they might even prefer a larger head. If anything the smaller heads get caught in crevasses easier. Now if your state disallows lead, then that is another story
  6. Silent for natural colors. Rattles for bright colors.
  7. Few new ones I thought you might like to see.
  8. Scatter Crank is the one to get. It hunts and catches fish well. Other styles are not so good. As with all cranks they dont run as deep as advertised for me.
  9. When you pull on it Wacky you can feel the bait better and use your rod tip to quiver it, almost without moving it. I keep line semi tight and feel the Tap bite better. Texas is hard to feel the bait and the bite. More of a line watching thing. You can pop the Texas and get it to dart and die like a fluke.
  10. Vid I made on how I do it.
  11. Color matters?
  12. That's OK. I dont believe color makes a difference either
  13. I dont believe in it but as Tom said, it cant hurt.
  14. Pic from your FB page. Not sure they had EWG hooks back then.
  15. Off topic but by far the best split ring pliers I have used. Xuron Best price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Split-Ring-Pliers-Xuron-496-Jump-Rings-Opening-Plier-Jewelry-Wire-Bead-Working/190500158717?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
  16. Yup simple pattern that is sure to catch fish. I would add a black shad dot. Use a hole punch in a playing card or business card as a stencil.
  17. Nice. You make a stencil?
  18. Thanks Glen. I meant the bait. I paint them whatever I want
  19. So whats the deal? Are the Booyah identical to the discontinued Xcalibur except for color? Both same tungsten ball and sound? Ty
  20. I make them. Not compatible with Elaztech.
  21. I use a lighter to melt the craw part and stick it to the skirt. Very strong bond and easy to do. Makes a great lil slow falling NED.
  22. I still like my old Shimano Chronarch 101a's. I tried a Curado i and didnt love it. I use $50-100 rods. Tried better ones and the difference was negligible to me. Yes lighter and slightly more sensitive, but I can feel everything I need to with the cheaper ones and braid with a FC leader.
  23. I bought a used reel. Seller does not know type of line. I am just trying to figure out Mono or flouro. Not brand or test. Any way to do this? ty
  24. on a cold snowy day.
  25. Wart is most valuable and only about $8 as a painter. Nothing real special unfortunately.
