  1. Skipping docks and under tree branches in shallow water 4/0 Owner Twistlock hook
  2. Nice job. Just remember that many bass dont try to eat those big and colorful bull males. Sometimes the more subdued color of a smaller fish may work better.
  3. Most spinnerbaits are about the same size. Skirt sizes are pretty much standard. Yes arm lenth can vary. The weight of the head and size/style of blade, trailer if used determine the fall rate. So by saying 3/4 oz, what do you want it to do? What depth and what speed retrieve? Do you need vibration or more flash? Here ya go. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Compact-Spinnerbait-009.htm
  4. You can get the jig hook and screws at Barlows and make your own for alot less too.
  5. Agreed. Go with a buddy. Get that hook in you 8' down and you could get in trouble. What crank was it?
  6. Usually Knockoff Sticks are a little different in size. Length or thickness. Many times not as soft and wont sink as fast (less salt) Needless to say they will still work fine and usually are more durable If lighter and dont sink as fast they may be better for very shallow water in the spring. Save the heavier sticks for working a lil deeper.
  7. Good lookin craw
  8. Y'all give color waaaay too much credit for bites
  9. Stick baits are pretty difficult for a beginner. They are fully round so making a mold yourself is tough. It really should be a two part mold (two halves) The plastic requires heavy amounts of salt to make them sink while weighless. You could use a weighted wacky jighead if the salt is left out. I would buy an aluminum two part hand pour mold from ebay for $50 or so. You will be much happier with that and baits will look just like a real Senko. Or look on Do-it, Bears Baitjunky, or tackle underground for used ones.
  10. TW has them in stock.
  11. I do well with Chartreuse or firetiger in muddy water.
  12. Spinning reel and skip a wacky Senko or a 1/8 rage rig with a craw.
  13. If its the barb you are concerned with, bend it out more. Matzuo hooks are made by South Bend and possibly the worst hooks made.
  14. No such thing as a lipless suspending bait. How would it go down if it suspends? The Rattle trap one had a bill and basicly was a regular suspending crank.
  15. 4/0 Owner Twistlock
  16. Nice color
  17. Straight 20# braid. Cast further and you wont lose as many snagged lures.
  18. Owner twistlock hook (or make yor own for alot less) as said already. Also turn the bait around and texas rig the other end. Or save the head torn baits and save them to rig wacky on an o-ring But I think the stick-o and dingers you will like.
  19. 50# braid main line. 3/4-1 oz bullet or egg sinker Red glass bead swivel flouro leader 1/0 hook
  20. You didnt mention water temp. I have been doing well with a 1/8 oz arkie this spring if the bass are right on the bank or in the bruch near it. 6'6" medium Spinning rod works well. Color does not seem to matter much but greem pump is always good
  21. Green Pumpkin 5" Wacky rigged with an o-ring
