  1. If going 3mph (4.4ft/sec) and you pass over a stump, in one second it will be 4.4' behimd you. In two seconds it will be 8.8' behind you......and so on
  2. Just make sure they are real GYBC Senkos
  3. This looks good in Bluegill. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress™-magnum-square-bill-3-4-oz-crankbait#repChildCatSku=106325559
  4. It's cool if you have the time to wait for a strike and to say you caught one on it. Certainly there are better top waters to throw that would get better results.
  5. Use a color they can see in the water conditions you are fishin and they will eat it.
  6. Using the "Pen" style tool is easy to put skirts together with tabs. I usually use three tabs. However layering the tabs can be difficult with that tool. In other words having a back color, center color and belly color. The more expensive band spreaders make this easier.
  7. Wow that page has changed. I only see living image tabs. No plain color, barbed wire, half barbed wire, flake etc. No search feature either unless i'm looking wrong. Here is the one I used called Yellow Jacket. https://fishingskirts.com/product/living-image-089b-yellow-jacket-463/ Email me if you want my old skirt recipe book. bullpupp@comcast.net
  8. A really good cold water square bill is made by Baker. It's the only suspending SB that I know of. You can really work it slow. Good color choices but the paint chips very easily. Fish don't seem to care tho. Also comes in two depth ranges. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Baker_Lures_Suspending_Squarebill_Crankbait/descpage-BKRSUCR.html
  9. Nothing new will plug and play with your older wires and TD. Humminbird Helix 5 would be my choice.
  10. Striker has GPS and waypoints but NO maps or contours.
  11. That's whats best makin your own skirts. You can add as many strands of what you want.
  12. I understand you are newer. Almost all newer fisherman use a snap swivel on everything. You really need to get away from this, especially fishing soft plastics. There are plenty of simple knots that tie fast such as the Palomar. If you cant throw a 5-6" Stick far, then you have the wrong setup. Typical stick with a hook is about 1/2 oz and aerodynamic. The main attraction to a stick is the slow shimmying fall when rigged weightless. If you need it to fall faster or deeper there are better choices such as a Texas rig worm or shakyhead.
  13. These Weedless Rapalas are cool.
  14. When I lived up north Firetiger was a great Perch imitator. In cranks, most companies offer a Perch color or bluegill will work fine too. Fishingskirts.com Get the BOSS heads and either premade skirts or make your own from the tabs they sell. Easy to do with the cheap lil tool they sell and fun. Here is one I made from tabs. These are great around lillies and weeds. Rapala weedless shad
  15. Stiff rod and no stretch line can make it more difficult to walk a bait.
  16. I really like the Acadamy ones. Very similar to KVD and half the price.
  17. Most Florida ponds have a lot of vegetation. Weedless frog and buzz bait for top water.
  18. Texas rig it weightless and drag it over/thru lillies and surface vegetation. Drop it in pockets
  19. Plus will not share anything with a non plus.
  20. If its the one like I had (oval plug) I was able to take it apart and put a thin shim under the left and right switch contact. Sorry we are talkin 15 years ago and I forgot what I used.
  21. Tornado but good luck finding one.
  22. I think it started when Kalins or Lerew added salt many years ago and it became the craze.
  23. I was speaking of salt for making bass hold on to the bait longer.
