  1. Skipping docks with Senkos
  2. I prob use 2% of whats in my box. I need to clear out the dead weight.
  3. You could but not if its a two color laminate like the Green Flash Sam is looking for.
  4. ML will work better with 1/8 lures. Need the rod to bend and load up a bit.
  5. C'mon over to my garage Sam and I will hook you up. Only bout an hour away.
  6. Makes sense. Mexican bass like Tequila
  7. I am in total aggreemnt that a plastic lizard is a great bait especially when Bass are protecting a bed. BUT it has nothing to do with that a bass "thinks" its a lizard.
  8. I feel in most cases big baits eliminate smaller fish. Thats it. If a big bass saw a 8" Hudd or a 5" swimbait go by, it would eat either if it was in the mood to eat I also think the whole lizard thing for spawning bass is a myth. Bass are not that smart. They will chase anything from a nest. All the flappers on the lizard may be what does it. Never seen a lizard that big in a lake anyway. Same reason Jig/craw work great in waters with no crawfish. Bass are just not that smart. Guess I am a pesimist and getting off track here.
  9. BTW. Color means nothing. As long as the Bass can see it.
  10. Welcome back Deep. Did you forget these you caught a couple years ago? Wish I sucked that bad
  11. These work great. Buy some skirts and nice jig for about two bucks. Skirts stay on them well too http://www.barlowstackle.com/Hidden-Lead-Jig-Head-Painted-P1519C190.aspx
  12. I like a 4/0 Twistlock hooh so they last longer. As said rig it straight so it darts every which way and doesnt spin.
  13. Woodchopper Ima Roumba
  14. Ruritan in Central VA. This small lake is highly managed by the county. Lots of nutrients asre added and water is peas soup green. Most fish are footballs. Lots of pressure but many just panfish. Here is a 19" 4# I got a different outing.
  15. Nice job. You deserve it.
  16. Wait longer before hookset. Use smaller worm or different bait. You may be eliminating more small bass with big worms but not gaining big ones.
  17. I just got some BJ and it is excellent
  18. I am really liking this bait and catching alot of Bass. Even in deeper open water. Just a slow steady retrieve seems to work best. Action reminds me of a Jitterbug.
  19. Thanks. Palmyra
  20. Been a bad summer for fishing in central Virginia. Went to a lake known to be stingy but has some big bass. Started with a four pounder on a Rage rigged 702 craw I injected. No other bites till a 24" 6-10 bit my home made 5" stick bait. Fish jumped and thought I had a ten pounder. Head and mouth were huge. She never jumped again and did not put up much of a fight. She was long and skinny. Must be old or sick. Looks like I am eating well though Took some pics and forgot camera was on macro mode
  21. I also take the ultralight when fun fishing for schoolers on top. Great fun in open water
  22. Two or three options. 1 Find the old Delmart Fat Boy mold. Call Lurecraft and see if they can get it. That mold only makes the body. Not sure which skirt mold you need. You can buy skirts from Yamamoto too. 2 Do-it 4" Skirted Chub grub. You just pull off the tails and appendages. 3. Baitjunkiys is working on a mold
  23. Weighted swimbait hooks bring the weight further back and it swims more horizontaly. I like twistlock hooks. Size depends on size of bait. Jig head moves weight more foward and the bait will nose dive more.
