  1. I tried them all and use Baitjunkies now. http://www.shopbaitjunkys.com/Premium-De-Gassed_c_130.html
  2. Ya I have heard about the new new ones for 2015. Not sure what box looks like. I heard they are good tho
  3. Lucky Craft Pointer 100sp and Staysee for a lil deeper.
  4. Its easy o do and wont hurt the bait or finish. Here's a vid I made.
  5. If you throw topwater I highly suggest the Ima Roumba. Amazing wake bait that has action sort of like a Jitterbug Another bait I love are the Baker lures suspending shad (black scale or black ice) and suspending squarebills (red craw, pumpkinseed, bluegill). Only suspending squarebill I know of and bass hit it hard.
  6. Yes the Pre-rap have a slightly cupped bill which produced the saught after hunting action. (like a Scatter Rap Pre rap will say "Wiggle Wart" under the bill, on the belly, or very eary ones had it stamped on the right side of the belly. They had a visible seam which ran down the top and belly They came painted lip which is harder plastic and has a higher pitched louder multiple rattle sound Clear lip which has a deeper one knocker sound which is not as loud. Clear lip suspending which has yet another style of rattle chamber. ALL Pre Rap Warts have rattles. With the clear bills the rattle (lead) can get stuck. A serious whack/beating with the rubber handle of pliers on each side of belly can free them up. These things can take a beating and wont crack. Earlies Pre Rap packaging was a clear hard plastic case. Next came the soft plastic pack with the Red label. Then the soft plastic pack with the Blue label. Some suspending and SP (special production) colors came in a bubble pack which came with Susspendots. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The came the Post Rap Warts which they "improved" quality and they "fixed" the problem of them not running straight (hunting). The new molds smoothed out the belly and back seam, and flatend the bill They say "Storm" under the bill. First generation Post Rap boxes were yellow cardboard "coffins" with clear cover. Some if not all of these baits had a bent down type of lip. Then they went back to the soft plastic pack with the Blue label. But this time they added "Original Series" to the label. This was comfusing as these "Original Series" are actually the undesireable Post Rap Warts.
  7. I once knew a girl that could tie a knot in a cherry stem I am blind in one ey and not so great in the other from Diabetes. This should help me imencely.
  8. Yes newest are new for 2015 and totally different from the previous "Post Rapala" warts.
  9. An actual cranking rod has a softer tip and are all or at least parcially fiberglass. For T-rig, jig, etc where you need to set a hook fairly firmly you will want a graphite rod with a fast or extrafast tip.
  10. The original Pre Rapala had a slightly cupped lip (like a Scatter Rap) and they hunted well. Also different plastic and lead rattles that gave a unique sound. The new new ones (2015?) are suposed to be very good
  11. I prefer the medium for weightless Senkos, t rig, shakeyhead, drop shot, crankbaits etc in fairly open water. I step up to med heavy for heavier wire jigs or heavier cover.
  12. Not expensive when you consider you wont need to change it for 2 years. Mono and flouro you change multiple times a year. I feel spinning gear is easier to use from a kayak. 6'6"-7' medium graphite is what I use.
  13. Remember that most plastic float somewhat. Especially ones without salt. So they actually are much lighter in the water. Any yes spinnerbait weight is usually head only and can weigh double with blades and hardware
  14. Wiggle Wart cranks are known to be killers on those lakes too
  15. Good color because fish can see it. Especially in dirty water
  16. IME worst hooks made. Not sharp at all and they break and dont bend. Matzuo is South bend now. Thats right, the Sunny Day Bear people.
  17. Saw this bait and tried to make my own. I was able to pull half a tab through with a crochet hook. Gonns throw it on a Rage rig.
  18. If fish are 20' that is pretty early spring (prespawn) Once the water warms they will move shallow and be much easier to catch near the bank. I highly reccoimend a weightless wacky rigged stickbait (like a Senko). PM your address and I will send you some I make
  19. Silver Buddy
  20. Bet that head with the new Mann's Reel N Shad would be great.
  21. Good deal but who actually uses Live Pointers?
  22. Fluke is NOT a swimbait. It is a soft jerkbait but perfect for what you are describing. I like a 4/0 Owner twistlock (or I make my own cheaper)
  23. Thats the most unique bait design I have seen in years. Lokks great.
  24. I did really well on the Roumba last year. More of a topwater jitterbug type action. I found it cast great. My favoriye true "wakebait" is the SK Wake Shad. Floats and always stays on surface. I tried the G2 but the SK is far superior action. Bill on the SK is weak tho. This bait really throws alot of water. The THKO works well too.
