  1. Never said I was jig fishin
  2. Prob with suspending baits is hook weight is a big factor. I found Pointer 100sp suspend well. Better in cold water. 110's are slow risers I believe. Pointers go a lil deeper than 110's so I switch depending on depth. Never thru an STX.
  3. They use salt which likes to absorb water. So as said keep them airtight
  4. I found it difficult to walk a bait with a M rod and braid. I know most use mono for topwater.
  5. You're right. I never knew that. ty All Dyneema or Spectra braided lines will float because the fibres from which they are braided naturally float. However, various manufacturers have developed ways of making their lines sink. Sufix uses the inclusion of Gore fibres in the braiding process to make our Sufix 832 sink.
  6. I assume you both are using Mono for the stretch in working the walking baits and to let the fish get it? What #? ty
  7. No one has used sinking braid??
  8. I was looking at 20# Spiderwire Flourobraid. Anyone tried it or other brands? ty
  9. Try the new Kastking Assassin for $60 But what do I know, I still use the Old Pearl white Chronarch 101d's
  10. See for me its not about him catching more fish than me. I feel that when I take someone out I enjoy seeing them catch fish. I am retired and can fish alone when ever I want and catch all the fish I want. I take others out and they wait till I cast and cast behind me. I do the same if i am in the back seat. This one guy is a very experienced older gentleman who actually has a Ranger that has been down a couple years. I thought we had good times fishing together despite the tangles. Hearing behind my back that he is disappointed fishing with me is why I am asking as I thought maybe I was wrong. I even ask him every so often is this distance, placement, spot, etc good for you?. Oh well...his loss. Ty all
  11. So lets say I am on the bow using the trolling motor. Passenger is on back deck. Fishing a bank 20-40' out paralleling moving slowly. I was once told that the rear angler should not cast forward of the center of the boat. I'm in the front and cast slightly forward. Lets say I have a jig on so not fishing fast. Back guy constantly throw forward of the boat to get to that dock or laydown. Needless to say we tangle all day. I tell him to stop but he keeps doin it. Now I hear through a common friend he gets ticked when I "block" him. This is usually just fun fishin. Isnt the back angler supposed to "clean up" and not neccarilly fish fresh water or am i being selfish? I purposely leave him good pockets and cover and he keeps goin forward skipping those spots that I would normally cast to if alone. ty
  12. I havn't checked in, in a while. Here is what I have been up to. And photo imaging.
  13. The 90 was good for numbers for me. I really enjoy the Spro Rat 40. Ima Roumba too.
  14. Just use a weedless hook. Much more simple and better hook ups.
  15. It's a fun lure that catches fish. Are there better options to throw? Probably
  16. Some of my favs.... Berkley Flicker Shad #5 H2O CRUL H2O CRULD Storm Smash Shad #5 Rebel craw Rebel Super Teeny R Rapala Shad Rap #5 Storm Pee Wee Wart
  17. Best I have found by Lake Fork Tackle.
  18. If YOU think it is awesome and the bass will destroy it then YES it is a great bait. You fish better when you have confidence in a bait for whatever reason.
  19. They can get real nasty in an aquarium.
  20. Yes It's a Texas Cichlid. Herichthys cyanoguttatus. Native to Texas and northern Mexico. Males get the big hump like that. Prob max at 14"
  21. Bet mine is bigger than yours
  22. So in Aurora Black, Aurora is the side "oil slick" thing and Black is the back color. Regular holographic is opaque foil tape and Aurora is transparent holographic? Like these lure blanks. This one I painted is one of the transparent holographic. So that would be considered Aurora.
  23. What does "Aurora" mean in colors like a Lucky Craft jerkbait? ty
