Can't go wrong with either. The Met is good because of slightly more line capacity but the Aldebaran is good because its really light making it more ergonomic.
I've found the best hooks for these are Owner Beast. For the 4inch use the 4/0 1/8oz and for the 5.5inch the 6/0 1/4oz work flawlessly. Bluebasser also showed a nice trick awhile back where you can slide a treble hook onto the Owner Beast on the belly of the sick fish. Ill post a picture when I get home.
I have no problem forking out $20+ for a lure, but when it comes to crankbaits I tend to go cheaper. I throw them in places most people wouldn't and they're definitely my number one lure when it comes to losing them.
I do and I love it for square bills to mid divers. The length of it allows great leverage when fishing in cover. That being said if you're planning to use it for crankbaits that go 15+ ft I'd recommend the Magnum cranker.
Personally I'll reserve boot tail swimbaits to get fished on a weighted hook. When it comes to swim jigs I think of it as using the skirt to make it look like the body of a bait fish and ill either use a single tail grub or a rage tail menace rigged vertically to mimic a bait fishes tail.
