  1. So now one of my winches has another problem. I usually have two of the 6 centrifugal brakes engaged and the mag brakes are completely off. Now when I cast, about half way into the cast I hear a squeak and one or two random centrifugal brakes will just engage on there own. My spool shaft pin is bent, would that have any effect on it?
  2. Squarebills with sexy shad in color, however there really isn't to many shad up hear, but it works. Biggest forage is yellow perch with crappie coming in 2nd.
  3. An uncle of mine saturates Mr Twister grub tails with wd-40 to catch walleye, and it works.
  4. I own a lot of Xtremes, and they are the cats ass. Mind telling me where ur seeing them on clearance? BTW with the older style ones the recoil guides are kind of noisey with braided line, but that's about the only negative about them.
  5. Almost forgot to mention, Strike King Dreamshot works well too
  6. Roboworms and x3 Strike King Worms for my longer baits Powerbait Twitchtail minnow for my smaller ones
  7. I took a mold of my plastic prop and forged a steel prop and sharpened the outside of the blades.
  8. ^^^ THIS X2
  9. Do I have to replace both the 3x10x4s? (Palm plate and tension cap) and the 5x11x4 (spool bearing) or do I just have to change the palm plate + spool bearing.
  10. I tried my brother inlaws out and I just don't like how the dial isn't flush inside of the palm plate, when I'd cast with I would accidentally adjust the dial mid cast, but then again I got big mits.
  11. If you can save a little more cash grab a Revo S. If not they're both quality reels, but the Laguna has an awkward mag brake dail.
  12. I recently made a casting deck for my jon boat, I just used Indoor Outdoor carpet for it, got it at home depot. You can try iboats . com I'm sure they will have some you can order.
  13. How would I know if the pinion gear was damaged btw?
  14. Ya, I'm retarded, I wasn't even trying to change the bearing - I just wanted to flush the spool bearing out and whamo I bent the spool shaft pin.
  15. Of course it is Edit: A floro leader not a wire one
  16. Ya, I just got these ones from BPS a few weeks ago, I fish squarebills pretty hard, lots of rocks around here - Its not the first time ive cracked the bills, but 4 in one day right out of the package d**n. Good news is that I emailed SK and they said they would replace them no questions asked and give me a few extras for my troubles.
  17. Bingo, I did bent the spool pin, i'm assuming that's what would make that grinding noise? and would it effect how the thumb bar engages?
  18. Sometimes when I reel in when the thumb bar is down something isn't engaging properly and instead of the handle spinning smoothly it feels like something is grinding on the inside of it, after awhile of reeling it like that it will engage and feel smooth again. Also I notice the grinding when I have my thumb bar engaged and holding the reel flat, but when I spin the spool and hold the reel on its side the grinding seems to go away.
  19. For squarebills I run either 15lb or 17lb Seaguar Invisx because of rocks and other structure is more condensed For Medium to Deep divers I use 10lb Seaguar Invisx because cover is a little more sparse and thinner diameter will get you down deeper.
  20. Anyone having problems with the bills as of recent? I went out today and cracked or chipped off giant pieces of the bill on 4 of them today.
  21. Spinning: Abu Revo Premier on a Legend Xtreme 6'10 M/XF Csating: Daiwa PX Type-R on a Legend Xtreme 7'1 MH/XF
  22. Going to try the mojo rig with my new Pixy and Xtreme setup, gonna go about 1/8oz with some sort of small lizard. Anyone know of any I can use?
  23. Id honestly love to get the hawgtech ones, but besides the standard 3x10x4, I also need 5x11x4 for my spool bearing.
  24. Which are better? or is there even a difference between the two?
