I'm used to fishing a lot of spinners, cranks and jerkbaits. This year I vowed to use more jigs. I learned quickly to be patient and work them slow. I also found that while fishing bottom contact jigs ie. Footballs or finesse jigs work them like a craw fish would move in the water. Pop it two or three times then let the jig contact the bottom so the skirt flares out, let it sit for a ten count or slowly drag it for a few feet, and repeat. Its all rhythm IMO.
