  1. Ill always tell my friends what I'm catching them on. If they're using the same lure as me, 9 times out of 10 I'll be killing the fish and they won't be catching anything anyway.
  2. It works great, the tail moves side to side like a fishes tail. I haven't tried on a spinnerbait or chatterbait, but I should work, all three of the rigs are pretty much the same thing.
  3. Kalin's Sizmic grub, Kalin's 5" Lunker grub and a Rage Tail menace rigged vertically.
  4. Got a link to the spreadsheet?
  5. Can't go wrong with a Mojo, or try getting a EVA Foam Crucial on clearance.
  6. For squarebills to med divers I like 15lb for the abrasion resistance, for deep divers I like 10 to 12lb so it gets the lure down faster.
  7. Personally I don't think anyone needs anything bigger then a 50 size baitcaster. That being said the ONLY exception I can see is if you're throwing those massive swimbaits.
  8. I like it. Very good idea with the braid down the middle.
  9. What would a good set up be for a beginner for fly fishing. I hate to admit it, I've been fishing for as long as I remember, but I've never fly fished. I want to fish using streamers to begin. What would I need to start off, ie, Rod (Weight and length), reel, line. Money isn't a question, but I also don't want to break the bank.
  10. 3/8oz Football jig w/ paca chunk or a dropshot w/ 3" twitch tail or a Dream shot.
  11. The Veritas and other Abu rods where all really nice. I just hate the size of trigger, to darn big.
  12. Silver/Smoke
  13. Either or will serve you for ANY weight or lure type. The big thing is if you can afford a proper BFS baitcaster.
  14. Ya, line twist is a killer. 50% of the fishing I do is with a dropshot, I have no time for line twist lol.
  15. They're similar to the VMC spinshot, just with a Trokar hook.
  16. They do, I use the VMC's now, but they just aren't very good hooks.
  17. Have they released these yet? I can't find them anywhere.
  18. Wrong forum again, please delete.
  19. To each his own, I prefer having the blank exposed under the reel.
  20. So, I was excited for the release of the Avid X until I saw that they're still using those fugly reel seats. http://stcroixrods.com/resources/newscenter/radical-fishing-rod-evokes-extreme-performance#.U8AB041dWr8 I'll stick to the LTB's...
  21. Before I got my METS, the core was my favorite.
  22. I got 6lb Tatsu on my Aldebaran BFS, mind you its got a 1.5mm Avail spool, never digs in.
