  1. Are you sure? There is a MGL 70 K, 200 K and a 300 K
  2. I think we as fishermen sometimes, maybe more often then we should, over analyze things and in turn make things more difficult than they should be.
  3. One setup for frogs, lipless, medium cranks, swimbaits and Texas rigs? Kind of like buying the nicest framing nailer on the market and trying to do trim work with it. I agree with the buy once, cry once, but I would think one would not be as effective only using one rod (no matter if it was the best rod ever made). Re-tying would be a real pain if you switched techniques often. But, if you don't plan to switch often, I suppose it could work. It just wouldn't be my plan of action.
  4. You should take your money and buy a few different combos.
  5. Texas Dept. of Wildlife trying to act like the entire world hasn't already heard about the giants coming out of there. https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/action/reptform2.php?lake=O.H.+IVIE&archive=latest&yearcat=current&Submit=Go
  6. Here is what I use mine for: Curado 70 HG - Jerkbaits Tranx XG - Jigs Curado 200K HG - Lipless/Squarebills Metanium 13 - Spinnerbaits Bantam MGL XG - Topwater Curado 70 MGL XG - 3/16 Texas Rig Casitas 150 HG - Med/Deep Cranks Bantam MGL - Chatterbaits Metanium 20 XG - 1/4 Texas Rig Curado 200K XG - 5/16 Texas Rig SLX MGL 70 XG - Ned Rig Bantam MGL XG - 3/8 Texas Rig Bantam MGL XG - Frogs Scorpion MGL XG - 1/2 Texas Rig Bantam MGL HG - Heavy Jig/Texas Rig Cardiff 200 - Swimbait/A-Rig
  7. If it was as cold as you say then my guess is the braid was "hard" and the spool was slipping, when you got home the braid had relaxed because it warmed up and it was fine. I have used a piece of electrical tape for years and never had slipping issues.
  8. It would be perfect! I think the HG is 90 and the XG is 96. Not 100% though.
  9. This probably isn't the answer you were looking for. If YOU didn't have the dogs then YOUR peace and quiet would not be interrupted. YOU could nap all day and never know he was even there if YOUR dogs weren't barking at him. Do YOU see where I am coming from.
  10. I was a big fan of the Spro Bronzeye and always had good luck with them, but noticed I was missing some fish here and there which I just chalked up to the nature of the technique. I switched to a Pad Crasher and my hook up ratio went up.
  11. In your first post $500 was just a drop in the bucket, but add $70 and now you can't keep the lights on?
  12. Does it cast well?
  13. Good luck is all I can say. I have had 2 replaced in the past, a Zodias and a Crucial. I broke a Poison Adrena in October 2020 and shipped it back with warranty filled out and receipt. I have yet to hear a single thing from them. I have probably sent over a dozen emails and nothing.
  14. I've seen what their furniture and quilts go for, $400 seems like it probably wouldn't buy an Amish Loomis.
  15. Highly unlikely. Unless the Amish make it, not much is really Made in USA anymore. LOL
  16. But now they are not, so I still stand by my stance that they are trying to sell them with the "Built" in Texas phrase. Not that it matters, I just think it's silly of companies to outsource from overseas and then try to use some other wording to make it seem like you are getting a Made in USA product.
  17. They won't say where the blanks are made but they make sure and put the "Built by hand in Texas" logo on the website. IMO they are obviously hoping that will help sell a few more. Being "Made in the USA" still means something to some people so companies like to use alternative phrases to try and sell their product to those people.
  18. Counting on that "MaDe In UsA" group.
  19. If I go somewhere and there is a hotel, I am in "the city". LOL
  20. David Dudley might stroke out before the day is over. LOL
  21. Nope, just call your biggest bass caught your PB. There are guys who fish 30 years and would never catch an 8lb bass in the waters they fish, but they can spend a few days in Mexico and catch a DD. Nothing wrong with that, I would love the opportunity to do so. There are also guys who have caught multiple DD bass in areas where they are plenty and they will act like they are the best angler in the world. In the end, whatever makes YOU happy is all that matters.
  22. Living in the boonies and there is a hotel? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
  23. Where are the big fish? Different video? Those guys are some D Bags!
