I use the drop shot weights already posted in the thread with the round eye and a #2 split ring. I'm actually lying in a way, I take all my split rings off my jerkbaits, crankbaits, etc. and I use those. Most of which are #2 size (at least I think).
I don't think so, well I know it doesn't work that way at the end. When they say lines out in the last period, the tournament is over. They don't have to be back at a certain time or anything, they fish till the time runs out. I don't know exactly how long they give them to make their run in the morning, but most of the time when I have watched at the beginning they are already at their spot ready for lines in.
Finesse spinnerbaits, LOL. Do you just let them sit on bottom and shake them? I love that the word finesse is being used for moving baits (power fishing) that weigh over 1/4 oz. Hahahaha
Shimano Vanford 2500. No idea the power of the rod or intended use so I can't recommend a line. Sounds like the guy was actually trying to be helpful instead of just handing you a reel and a spool of line and saying "here you go".
What a beast! He only fished 2 days of the Elite event, took his $10,000 and went to the BPT event and is now fishing in the knockout round. That man loves to fish and he has an AMAZING wife!!!!!
Yea, sure, maybe, no, not really, who knows? So many variables at play, it's impossible to know. How much farther are you wanting to throw it? Why? How much experience do you have? The list goes on.

Fishing reports thread.......and yes, well no, you don't have to put a picture. But what's the point? Also, if you don't know the weight, just say it's your PB and don't guess a weight.
