  1. He fished Grand this week, and he sucked!!!!!
  2. Yes, she can barely make pork chops, but she can bake almost anything. I'm the cook around the house. Lol
  3. One is Devils food, one is white
  4. My wife makes cakes as a side job. She is really good at it, but she knocked it out of the park today. She made this one for a dispensary that was having a Halloween party. Thought I would share some pics.
  5. Should have an update soon, I think it's about that time.
  6. When I was a Sr in High School our school went to a block schedule, meaning we only had 4 classes a day for an hour and a half each period. My first hour I was a teachers aide for my basketball and baseball coach. He told me not to worry about showing up. I would pick my GF up before school and drop her off at school at 7:45 and then go hit the local ponds for an hour or so. I did this as many days as the weather allowed. Not necessarily skipping, but not being at school.
  7. Whoa! I need to borrow your scales. This fish was 8lb 2 oz, about twice the size of that one,
  8. I'm predicting a new PB from A-Jay!
  9. Yea, I have used the original, project Z, cross eye and jackhammer. Never had a problem with the snaps. I'm not saying it can't happen, but it just seems like it would be an extreme case.
  10. I really need to get my will in order. It would be free through my work insurance and I need to make it happen. At only 41 years old you never think about the end, but tomorrow is never promised. I have already told my wife and my mom that I want to be cremated with no funeral, no celebration of life, nothing. Just spread me in the pasture and at the lake and move on with life.
  11. Why would you want to change? You will not lose a bass due to the snap. I have used every different chatterbait and I have been hung up on trees with 40 lb braid and you have a better chance of straightening a hook as opposed to the snap failing.
  12. Well, sounds like all of her other songs. But I'm not voting for ALL music awards.
  13. 1/2 oz. either solid white or white/chart. Nickle willow leaf at the end and gold willow above. EDIT* I didn't explain myself very well. I want the gold at the top while retrieving and the chrome at the bottom. I apologize. I just read what I typed and realized it was confusing.
  14. No, if we see them on their phone we are supposed to take it away from them. We are then supposed to take it to the principal and she handles it from there.
  15. LOL!!!!! The benefit for me is that I am out of school when my kids are out of school. They ride to school with me and ride home with me and I never miss a ball game. I get to fish, golf and hunt more than I could with almost any other job. I am home every night to have dinner with my family or I am with them at games. For me, the time I get to spend with my family is priceless.
  16. Okay, I will probably make some people mad/upset with what I am about to say, but here it is. I don't feel sorry for anyone who tries to become a "professional" fisherman. They knew the risk/reward going in. That being said, I understand the frustration seeing guys making thousands/millions simply off of social media. I chose to be a public school teacher knowing I would never be wealthy. I've been doing it 16 years and making a measly $46,000 a year while some guys/kids are making that in a few months on social media. Am I jealous? Hell yea!!! I would love to be able to record some content and make 10x more than I currently do. However, this is the path I chose in life. Social media wasn't around when I chose my career, I couldn't do it now because I don't have the time, but I am also not interesting enough. I love what I do and I won't ever complain about getting to interact with the youth of today and trying my hardest to be a positive influence in their life. I can assure you, they love their Tiktok and Instagram way more than they love learning geography from me, but I try my best. Randy should spend some time as a substitute teacher, then his life may not seem so miserable.
  17. Bass = 2500 Crappie = 1000
  18. Say what you will, but just reading the title made me hungry for some Bridgford beef jerky.
  19. Well, I will admit, we sucked at the state tournament this year. We went 2 and out. I was not happy and my girls knew it. We had to get better and focus for the fall season. We worked hard and ended up finishing the fall season undefeated and league champions. I have coached these girls for a number of years now and I can honestly say I love every one of them and want nothing but the best for them. Not just softball, but anything they do in life. I appreciate the hard work they show me on a daily basis. I won't post again till next year. Lol
  20. I'd still pick them to win the National Championship
  21. Ken Cook, most people won't know who he is. Being from Ok and meeting him and getting to fish with him when I was 10 or 11 was the most amazing thing at the time. This was from the bank at a lake where he was testing spinnerbaits that he designed for the HART tackle brand. Those baits were made in my hometown and I was friends with the owners daughter and I got the chance to test spinnerbaits and buzzbaits for the company. To this day, that was my most productive buzzbait and I have never seen anyone fish a spinnerbait like him. RIP Mr Cook. https://www.bassfishinghof.com/inductee/ken-cook
  22. Nope. I don't just happen to run across places that are public fishing areas. Everything around here is on private property and I refuse to trespass. I have friends that will jump the fence in a heartbeat and fish a pond they don't have permission to fish. I will not do that. If I am going fishing, I know where I am going and I plan accordingly.
  23. I just recently built a firepit for cooking over. I have my grate but have yet to try anything. I have been practicing getting a good temp on the grate. I think to do it right, it needs to burn a while. I always get real hot readings for a couple hours which is why I am practicing before ruining a good ribeye.
  24. Sorry, I don't have to deal with toothy critters, never crossed my mind.
