  1. Cut the pole?
  2. Especially when your as fat as I am! The PVC is buried in concrete level with the ground.
  3. So here's the deal. I have a 20 foot flag pole in my front yard that I fly the American flag on year round. It was put in a PVC tube so I could pull it out if needed. Well, after about 4 years the rope finally broke. I thought, no big deal, I will just pull the pole and put a new rope on. Nope, not happening. I don't know what has happened, but it will not move. I have bought a new rope and flag but I have no idea how to fix it. I have an extension ladder, but I don't trust myself trying to climb up it. I had a guy tell me to put the ladder against the pole and reach as high as I could and tie the ladder to a rung and to the pole and do this till I reached the top. I just don't know about this. Another guy suggested I tie a rope to both sides of the ladder at the top and lean it against the pole and tether them off in opposite directions to keep it from moving. Not sure about this either. I have thought about just calling a tree service to see how much they would charge me to just bring a bucket truck out and put the new rope up. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could get this fixed. I'm ready to see Old Glory flying again.
  4. Heavy? That must be a individual thing. 7.1 oz is far from heavy in my mind. IMO they balance most rods better than a lot of reels.
  5. Before you pull the trigger, PM me. I have a few that I am going to list soon. You won't find one cheaper (I have been watching the auction site).
  6. I don't think I fully understand the question, but I will attempt to answer. You can connect to a device via bluetooth but you cannot see the screen of your graph on your device. When I connect to my Helix via bluetooth it is to update and to get notifications. When I get a text or phone call, it shows up on the screen of my Helix. Hope this helps.
  7. Did you contact Minn Kota? That would be my first step.
  8. This will work! I use a 15lb bottle on my little Coleman stove using this adapter.
  9. Nope, just some Exprides. Already sold my Poison Adrenas
  10. Thank you!!!!!!!!
  11. The fish don't care. It's a lot like camo, the deer don't care. There are a lot of other factors that are more important than the color of your braid, or the color of your camo.
  12. Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!
  13. No reason, just have too much stuff. They are all in next to perfect condition as well.
  14. I'm about to have my "Better than Black Friday" sale in the classifieds pretty soon. Going to be a couple Bantam's in there if you are looking for any more.
  15. Is there any way @Glenn can take donations from members and then donate them to the family on behalf of BR members? I would donate.
  16. Here's today's cakes.
  17. Nothing beats a pair of Cuda scissors for cutting braid. I keep 3 pair on the boat. Needle nose for hook removal.
  18. My buddy and I used to have a bet that whoever caught the first one got to drink beer that day and the other had to drive home. Whoever lost was always ready to leave early.
  19. 3 rods - squarebill (6'10 MH F) I use this for lipless baits as well. Med diver (7 M M) and deep diver (7'2 MH M glass)
  20. I guess my money is no good there.
  21. I would like to try one, but they put the hook holder in the same spot as the new Zodias. Awful design!
  22. I have used Steez and Poison Adrena rods, that's my upper end. The hardest bite to "feel" for me is the bite you cannot "feel" and only time on the water can make up for the sensitivity of a rod when sensitivity isn't necessarily needed. YMMV
  23. Are we going to beat this dead horse again? Buy what you can afford and enjoy!!!!!!
