  1. What am I carrying? Well nothing. We flew to Pensacola to watch my oldest daughter play softball. Plane left at 4:30 am so we had to be there by 3 I figured. Left our house at 1 am so none of us got any sleep. Get to the TSA check and they tell me to empty my pockets. Oops!!! You would have thought I had a bomb on me. They pulled me to the side and told me I was being detained and would be searched. Asked if I wanted them to do it there or in a private room. I told the guy I would take my clothes off right there if I needed to. He didn't think that was funny. Gave me the once over with the wand and then the pat down. He was going up my thigh and told me he had to go pretty high, I said, they are all yours. Once again, he didn't find humor in that. After he got done I had to go over and fill out paperwork to have it shipped to my house. So I suppose I will find out what that cost me when I get home. Cheaper than replacing the knife though.
  2. I have a 200k and a 70mgl but not the 150. That being said, if line capacity is not an issue, I would buy the 150 in a heartbeat.
  3. Some tanks I get 10 mpg, some I might get 11. I attribute it more to my driving as opposed to where the gas came from.
  4. Perfect example! I see a bunch of stuff, I just don't know what any of it is.
  5. We watched them today from the beach at Pensacola. Oh my, what a show!!!! I've never even seen anything like it. They had some "pre show" planes doing stunts and what not and I was pretty impressed, but when they took to the sky, I couldn't believe it. I'm sure it's nothing to them, but as just an average Joe, I was blown away. Major props to those guys!!!
  6. Okay, I wasn't going to call you a liar, but a 21" 10lber sounded like a stretch to me.
  7. Geez!!!! I've caught 22" bass that were barely 7lbs. But that was with a scale. You had a scale and weighed a 10lb 21" bass? This one was 7.1 and that is a good belly. Your son caught a fish that was an inch shorter than that fish and weighed 3lbs more? That's impressive!!!
  8. Looks like a GREAT day to me!!!!!!
  9. I just fish where I think the fish are. Sometimes they are 14" and sometimes they are 23" just never know.
  10. I have about 9 rods I need to sell, it's really not worth it.
  11. Hopefully some of you guys don't conceal carry. Life is to short to worry about some things. Catching a fish, or in most cases, not catching a fish, isn't worth a fight or even an argument.
  12. When Covid shut down the school back in March of 2020 our Superintendent scheduled a zoom meeting one day. I think it started at like 9 am and I was out on the water fishing. I tied on a jig, sat down and logged in and fished during the meeting. At one point my Superintendent said, Coach Bryant, are you fishing. I said, I'm trying.
  13. Happy Birthday you beautiful country!!!! Baby back ribs on the Treager to 190 degrees, sliced and finished on the grill at 500 degrees. Bbq chicken on the Treager, smoked bbq baked beans and fried potatoes.
  14. Am I the only one that hates staying in hotels? I have a hard enough time sleeping in my own bed. I cannot sleep in a hotel to save my life. Pillows are awful. Sheets feel terrible, noise everywhere, mattress is too soft, etc. Been in Branson for a few days and I am miserable. Going to Gulf Shores in 2 weeks for 8 days, I'm not sure I will survive. Not only that, but there is nothing like your own toilet (maybe I miss that more than my bed) BTW, nothing against you @Koz
  15. Here we go again. I bet Jacob Wheeler, Jordan Lee, Edwin Evers, KVD, and any other professional angler have NEVER argued over something so trivial. But they are in the business of catching fish, not arguing over semantics. Some people should take note. Cliffs notes version: it doesn't matter.
  16. When I was younger, I only went for strippers at night as well. Oh, you said stripers. Early AM for them.
  17. I think it shows the average fisherman how hard it can be to catch fish on certain lakes at certain times of the year and actually make them feel better when they aren't successful on some days. If a pro can't get it done, then there is almost a certainty the average guy couldn't. Can't catch what isn't there. Sure, fishing on Fork in March is awesome for seeing big fish caught, but that isn't the "reality" of fishing as a whole. Hopefully you don't watch all these hunting shows and think everybody who deer hunts just sits in a stand and waits on a 180" deer to walk by. I've never seen a 180" deer on my property so to think I am a failure at hunting because I don't kill one is a sense of false information. Can't kill what isn't there. Sometimes showing real life events is a better product in my mind.
  18. I have a lot of jigs that I can send to someone if they are willing to send me pics.
  19. I've owned both. I would opt for the cheaper 7'2" MH Expride everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.
  20. Whew, gonna be a hot one in Lawton tonight.
  21. I think it was Bigbill or something like that.
  22. After he found the boat with the biggest fish and jumped on it.
  23. These stories kill me. Had it happen to a couple people close to me. Been in pretty dark times myself where you think how much easier it would be. If I lost my Son, I don't know if I could make it.
  24. Did you do this through your local bank or do you have a link to more info. I haven't officially filled out an application with this company yet, just given them some basic info.
