  1. I will play along. I apologize ahead of time to any of the anglers I pick. If this goes like my Fantasy Football team, there are going to be an awful lot of injuries.
  2. I have an 03 Merc 150 and it doesn't beep when I start it, but I know for sure the alarm system works as I let it get a lil low on oil one time and it went off.
  3. Okay, I am not a very smart guy, but isn't 0.24 oz basically 1/4 oz? I thought BFS was like 1/16 or so? But, I don't understand the fad so maybe I am not reading this right.
  4. Really awesome thread!!!! Tom has achieved things in the world of bass fishing that 99.9% of people will never do. Something to be proud of for sure!!!!!
  5. I have 2 rods I throw them on. Open water gets 12 lb Invizx, around grass or cover gets 15 lb Tatsu.
  6. I like catching them, on a bed, off a bed, it doesn't matter to me.
  7. It would be long? Like how long? What if there aren't eggs on the bed yet?
  8. And there is the other problem. I HIGHLY doubt this person was a Spro Pro Staffer. More than likely just an idiot. But you assume a Spro Pro Staffer. See how this works? Anyone can post anything on the internet and then people just jump to conclusions.
  9. Your personal property compensation is already written into your policy. It doesn't matter what you show after the fact. I've been through this. I had an award winning audio system in my car in 2000 that had about $8,000 worth of stereo equipment in it. When I insured it, I had to pay extra to cover it. No different than a classic car that may be worth $100,000 even though it's 40 years old. It's the same with home owners insurance. I'm not talking about a lost Rapala shad rap. You literally already have a number written into your policy. I'm done here though, some people just don't get it.
  10. But, like I said, does he know you have a mint condition Mickey Mantle RC worth 5 million dollars, or does he know you have 200 guns worth a thousand dollars each? How do you insure something after the fact? If you aren't paying to cover a 5 million dollar loss, how do you expect to collect on it? I do realize that is extreme, but I'm just trying to make a point.
  11. Say what? Are they fishing at the winter olympics?
  12. I would NEVER base a buy something that I relied off a purchase review to help me make a decision. Any ol Jack Wad could make a review. I would do actual research and determine what would be best to purchase. I don't care if I'm buying a reel, rod, chainsaw, impact drill or tires for my truck. I would put ZERO stock in a purchase review. If you do, well, that's on you. With the internet and the abundant amount of resources, one should know better.
  13. So you could say you had a mint Honus Wagner card and a mint Mickey Mantle RC stolen and show them a pic off the internet and your insurance would cut you a check for 5 million dollars? I know that's on the extreme end of the spectrum, but if you valued that into your premium, how would they ever know? I guess I don't understand how your adjuster is going to know the difference in a Steez rod vs an Ugly Stick when they are both melted to nothing.
  14. I like to watch people fish, catch fish, talk about fishing, etc. I don't care what format it is or what size they are. I just like fishing.
  15. Look at your policy. That number is already set. That would be like having a 67 Camaro in the garage that you plan to restore versus a fully restored 67 Camaro. If they are both burned beyond comprehension who's to say it was worth $3,000 or $150,00?
  16. That's all I want people to say. Just say you don't know enough about it to really comment on it. It would be like me watching the Chiefs play one game and score 14 points and then go telling people the Chiefs aren't really any good because their offense sucks.
  17. From what I understand, pictures are no good if you don't show them to your adjuster ahead of time to get an estimate on the value so they could adjust your premium to cover said belongings. Pics are no good after the fact once your policy is set in stone. At least that's what I was told.
  18. Beast on day 1 anyway.
  19. It doesn't change the fact that most people who call MLF a dink fest have never actually paid attention to the two trails on a side by side comparison. Since I opened my fat mouth, I looked at some numbers. The top 10 in the BASS open today weighed in 47 fish for a total of 105 lbs 6 oz. An average of 2 lb 4 oz per fish. The top 10 today on the BPT event weighed in 49 fish for 137 lbs 4 oz. An average of 2 lb 13 oz per fish. Obviously both are dink fests by the math.
  20. I always hear this dink fest deal. Did you realize the 2nd place finisher today in the BASS open on Kissimmee caught 5 fish for 9-5? Is that a slug fest to you? I like all types of fishing, but to sit there and say BPT or MLF is a dink fest while other trails aren't doing much better really makes no sense.
  21. We've all been there! Sometimes I think I need a breathalyzer on my laptop to keep me from posting.
  22. The weeds in New Jersey and New York must be quiet different than the weeds in Oklahoma.
  23. My confidence in catching fish on them is about 0.003% so I haven't given them a fair shot. I will admit that.
  24. I tried that lure. I had better luck modifying it by tying on a spinnerbait. LOL
