  1. It's 5 hrs and 29 minutes from my house. See you there! LOL
  2. I have no doubt you could, I on the other hand, questionable at best.
  3. A 7-07 and an 8-01 already........DINK FEST!!!!!
  4. J Lee has already boated an 8-01, might be a good day.
  5. I really hate these posts as I know how much a dog can mean to someone. Your kids and wife can all be mad at you and act like they don't love you but your dog will always love you at anytime. Even after I scold my dog for doing something wrong, I can call her and she will lay her head in my lap to show me she still loves me.
  6. This is not a complaint by any means. But I kind of got wore out hearing them talk about how tough the fishing was. Like, NO JOKE!!! You are on the backside of a winter storm and it's going to be tough. Just put your head down and try to figure it out. It seemed as though a lot of them just kept trying the same thing (that wasn't working) and that was only the cameras in boats that were catching a few. I can't imagine how discouraged the guys catching nothing were. Some of them acted like I would out there, lost!!!!! LOL
  7. He made it in. Four fish in 15 min.
  8. Anthony Gagliardi is making a strong run.
  9. I wonder if ol CHEVYRIDAZ still has this motor some 12 years later.
  10. This is from the Game and Fish Website CANEY LAKE In the 1990s, Greg Wiggin's record capped a string of monster bass taken from Caney Lake, a 5,000-acre impoundment near Chatham. From the beginning, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries stocked Florida largemouths and intensively managed the lake to produce giant bass. As a result, for two decades, the lake dominated the Louisiana record book, and currently has contributed six to the Louisiana Top 10. The smallest weighed 15.15 pounds. However, the most recent 15-pounder hit the scales in 1996.
  11. For even more added performance should one throw this on a BFS setup?
  12. That is a good deal. I just can't imagine it getting bent under normal fishing conditions. But I've never seen a UFO and a lot of people have.
  13. So I'm guessing this didn't happen under normal fishing conditions? More than likely you got hung up and pulled and pulled trying to break off or pull the lure loose. I have a buddy who gets hung up and locks his drag down and tries to break 40 lb braid instead of just cutting it. Then after a while his drag starts slipping and he is upset with the reel.
  14. That looks great!!!!!
  15. There is a place on Lake Texoma called the rooftops. I have never been there, but apparently it was a community that was flooded and there were some houses made of concrete and sometimes when the lake is low you can see the rooftops of them.
  16. Going to Caney Creek the next 2 days. They were talking today about the potential to catch a giant there. Something along the lines of 6 of the biggest 10 bass ever caught in La. were from there and 4 are over 15. Those numbers probably aren't exact, but you get the idea.
  17. Yea, about that. I wonder what Christian McCaffery, AJ Brown, Davante Adams, David Montgomery and TJ Hockenson think about me drafting them this year.
  18. Well, I accidentally clicked on this thread. Thought it said "Hooter's Introduction" Anyway, Welcome to the site Scott!
  19. I like the muscle back craw on a jig and I fish the adrenaline craw on a t-rig (usually 3/8 or 1/2 oz) with a Trokar flipping hook.
  20. As I watch BPT I notice a lot of them are fishing what they are calling coon tail, hydrilla, etc. I don't think I could tell the difference so I am not sure what the lake I fish has in it. I have never really keyed on grass in the winter/early spring. I wait till it's on top and throw a frog. My question is, would the areas of the lake that I fish during the Summer when the grass is on top be a good place to try this winter/spring? I know these areas have grass but I don't really know how to approach it. Try to find the edge? Lipless right on the top of the grass? Swim jig? I fish weed edges a lot when the water starts to warm with a spinnerbait or jackhammer, just not sure if that would be a good approach right now.
  21. For me, it is more of a situational thing. I have certain expectations for different times of the year, weather, amount of time I spend on the water, etc. So I guess it would depend on my expectations going in. I know some days are going to be tough and sometimes there isn't much we can do to change that. It's those days were you think today is going to be good and nothing works that leave you scratching your head.
  22. To me, that's what would make fishing for a living tough to do. Some days you just can't figure them out. I get frustrated when I'm just fishing for fun and can't make it happen. I imagine the stress is pretty high level when that is your job.
  23. I went to the lake yesterday, mainly to make sure the boat was operating properly and everything was working. Decided to fish a for a little bit since I was out there. I promise they are doing better than I did. Technically, Dave Lefebre and I would be tied.
  24. I had Zack Birge in my MLF roster and his batteries died yesterday morning. I'm telling you, it's bad to be on my team.
