  1. I sold it to a friend of a friend.
  2. Well, I got 3k for it. Only time will tell if I made a good decision.
  3. Thanks guys. I am going to take a look and a test drive on the second boat this weekend. If everything checks out, I may just get it.
  4. Love them. I really like the Rayburn Red.
  5. Does anyone have experience with the Scorpion DC? I don't need one. But a lil monkey tells me I do. He also said it would look sweet on a new Cumara.
  6. Just ONE fishing item......Shimano Chronarch 50E More than one......A Shimano Curado paired up with a Compre rod
  7. I posted a thread here before about buying a boat. I took some of the advice and held off getting that particular boat. I have since found a couple others that I am interested in. I am going to post each boat and you guys tell me which one seems like the better buy. I will only have to finance about half of the price of each boat. 1995 Stratos Pro XL Tournament Edition with a 1996 Evinrude 175HP. New lower unit with 3 year warranty. runs great. Adjustable jack plate. Brand new Hummingbird PiranhaMAX fish finder mounts to dash on bow with transducer on trolling motor. Brand new MinnKota Bowmount foot control Trolling Motor installed a month and a half ago, 80lb thrust, iDrive compcompatible, removable microtouch foot pedal that reaches to back of boat. Replaced carpet and hinges on front of boat and hatch locks redone. New 3 bank battery charger. Has dual fuel tanks and dual live wells with aerators. Tagged through 2013. Hot foot gas pedal. Tons of storage, sits on dual axel trailer. - $8,250 1996 Stratos 288 single console. 1996 Evinrude 150HP motor. The boat is tournament ready and in good shape. The trailer has new bearings and ratchet tiedowns on the back. It has a Lowrance HDS-8 on a ram mount at the console, Lowrance HDS-5 on a ram mount at the bow , Lowrance Structure Scan, a hotfoot, Motorguide tour 75 that is only a year old, two spare trolling motor props, batteries are a year old and it has a 2 bank onboard battery charger. I also have an extra eagle fish locator that will come with the boat along with two life jackets, a throwable floatation device, 2 marker buoys, and a few other boating/ fishing items. I have also upgraded the livewell valves to add recurculation to the livewells. - $9,000 I have not yet seen either boat in person, but I plan on making a trip this weekend to look at one of them. Well, I went with the 96 Stratos 288 I got to go look at it on Saturday and take it out for a spin. Boat runs great and has plenty of room for a 18' 3" boat. Electronics are really nice and it's in good shape for a 96. Gel coat has some scratches, but at least I don't have to worry about putting the first one in it. Here is a pic of it when I got it home. I have a lot of things I want to do to it, but I will start a new thread of before/after pics.
  8. If it is NIB, I would jump on that.
  9. How much do they want for the 50E? I am interested.
  10. I would like for Shimano to either make a reel with a 90mm handle or make a 90mm handle with power knobs to buy aftermarket.
  11. Looks like they had another HUGE sack yesterday. Look at the difference between 1st and 2nd Future Bass Abuckle results 1st place went to the team of Doyle Idleman and Marco Vaca with 41.92 lbs and second big bass weighing 9.47 2nd place went to the team of Jeff Reynolds and Johnny Thompson with 14.13 and had big bass weighing 10.65 3rd place went to Mike Drian and Andy Ferguson with 12.83
  12. Yea, sounds like a Shimano to me. I will give you $100 fot that piece of junk.
  13. Well, I'm gonna be the odd ball out here. I am going to try all braid this year. I will use leaders when I feel it is necessary. I'm using Sufix performance in the following: 65# flipping/heavy jigs 50# T-rigs in cover/topwater 30# spinnerbiats/t-rigs in open water 30# crankbaits 30# drop shot 30# shakey head I will be using 10# Sufix fluoro as leader line
  14. Yes, which actually is one of the reasons I decided to try one.
  15. I have been using the Berkley digital scales that go to 50lb. Mainly for when catching catfish. However, I just recently ordered the Berkley BIg Game lip grip with digital scale. Can't wait to try it out.
  16. Yes! Face-to-face. My family owns a business and so many times people will fill out an application just so they can continue their unemployment benefits. (something about having to "try" to get a job) but if someone is serious, all they need to do is ask to speak to my step-dad and they are usually given an opportunity.
  17. Really.......they both suck. I had Direct TV for a few years, needed to add a couple receivers and they wanted to charge me like $600 to do so. SO, I get Dish, all goes well for about 4 years and then I moved and wanted to add DVR, once again, they wanted to charge me like $400. Got Direct TV and had terrible recepetion and had 3 receivers go bad in 2 years. I now use Dish and haven't had a problem in the last 2+ years, but I am about to build a new house so I am sure problems will arise when I wan to add more DVR's.
  18. I find it kind of funny that Shimano doesn't need the Pro's to use their product to sell it. I would venture to say that Quantum is at the bottom of many peoples list, yet quite possibly the best bass fisherman ever is sponsored by them. I guess if you see something pimped out everywhere, the product doesn't speak for itself and they rely on someone else using it to do the "pro"moting.
  19. Oh man, my 09 Silverado only gets 11mpg in town. It has the 5300. Of course it has a 5" lift kit with Bilsteins adjusted up another 1" and 33 x 13's on 20's. I really need to do a performance tune on it. Luckily I only live a block from work.
  20. I have a few things I can add. If you want me to ship them to you, just PM me your address and I will get them out.
  21. I hope Rick Clunn is growing his hair for the same reason.
  22. I will never own another vehicle that isn't four wheel drive.
  23. I have that same exact rod. You are going to love it. I have a Core 100Mg on it with 50# braid and it is a sweet set-up. Congrats on your purchase!
  24. You wont find any AR for $1100 right now and all the 223 ammo online is about $1 per round.
  25. Well, with the price and availability of AR 15's and ammo, I'm thinking it might be time to sell mine. I have a Stag model 2T with Leupold Mark IV x-high rings and a Vortex 3x32 scope. Magpul foregrip, magpul trigger guard and magpul stock. I have 12 Magpul P-Mags and 800 rounds of ammo. I have 40 rounds of tracer ammo and a real nice soft side case. What do you guys think a fair asking price is for everything? I have a few people interested, but I am afraid to throw a price out there. From what I have seen on the net, I think $3,000 isn't too far out of touch with reality. Most ammo is about $1 per round right now and AR's are out of this world, if you can even find one. So, what say you? Does my price sound about right? I haven't told them a price yet, just said that I am probably going to sell.
