  2. Same here ... I'm up to 4 bins ... LOL
  3. Green Pumpkin Green Pumpkin Magic Black Grape
  4. I have at least $100 worth of DVD's which don't even compare to the quality of the learning I have done through this site. I even feel more confident in my tactics on the water because of the validation (or corrections) which came through discussions on this site.
  5. For fun fishing I carry 2 BassPro extreme 3 piece rods as carry on. For a tournament I wouldn't even mess with the airline and ship them directly to the hotel or your friends house. If it is a hotel make sure and tell them in advance. They generally record it as a note on your registration. Good luck in the tourney!
  6. How bout anything ... private lake fish rarely see lures. Chances are they will bite it if its in there. Pick a lure or tactic you want to work on and have at it. Have fun!
  7. How and when do you use Fire tiger colored baits?
  8. I am a huge fan of finesse worms and a split shot. Catches a ton!
  9. X2. This helped my 5 year old catch her first bluegill. Very good bait.
  10. I have to wait til Saturday to get some fishing in. Can't wait. Enjoy Bluebasser!
  11. I am literally at a table of executives having dinner in Las Vegas at a fancy restaurant. I am bored out of my mind and would rather be fishing. Just had to share.
  12. Anyone of you on any lake. This forum is full of opinionated, talented bassers.
  13. I checked with my buddy. He does not recall ever getting a manual when he bought his Radisson.
  14. Great review. I was looking for info on Tatsu for my finesse rod. I currently use InviZX and love it. When I run out its going to be Tatsu I try. Thanks again!
  15. Seaguar InvizX. Great FC for spinning. I use 8lb test on my rod.
  16. I own a Radisson and never thought to ask about maintenance. I am going to ask my friend who also owns one if he has a manual. if so I might be able to copy it and send it to you.
  17. I like both. sinking - I use this for slow dragging and when I want it truly finesse. Drag it in and around weeds. Pop above the weeds as necessary. Let it sit and sink often. floating - When I want more action. Ripping it through the grass and it will dance like crazy. Pause it and it will float up over the grass. repeat. Lizards are fun!
  18. I actually like this summary. It's in part what I was trying to get to in my quote. The words did not quite come out as nicely as this one did.
  19. Saw the video on the Mojo Rig and well ... I bought the slip sinker kit from the Mojo Bait Company.
  20. Open water is relative. Generally it represents water with no clear cover above the water but it also relates to the distance between the surface and the element you are fishing (weeds, humps, etc.). Example. Fishing submerged grass which is just a few feet from the surface not open water to me. The predominant element is the weeds and not the water. In other words the gap between the surface and the weeds is marginal. A submerged hump in 33 feet of water that only goes up 5 feet gives me 28 feet of open water. Fishing a spook over this hump would be considered open water fishing.
  21. Good luck! I tried stitching for a few hours and it almost drove me crazy. Made all my other finesse techniques feel like burning a spinnerbait.
  22. Green Pumpkin, Junebug, Green Pumpkin Magic.
  23. With a lizard I would go with a 1/0 worm hook, a #2 split shot pinched on anywhere from 6-10" from the lure. Cast it out and drag it back. you can also do a lift and sink method. You won't get a ton of action from the lizard. It will be subtle. This is a killer technique for fishing submerged grass. I catch a ton from the bank doing it this way too.
  24. x2 on the 4/0 weighted. 5/0 might work with some brands. Make sure it sticks out through the gap on the top. For the smaller ones I used either a standard round ball jig or a VMC Rugby Jig if I need a weedless presentation. Works great.
  25. Lol. That song will never sound the same to me. Images of Biffle would come to mind. I wonder how many others took that trip?
