  1. Under $15 for me too.
  2. Welcome ... Don't be afraid to post. Just remember if you dish it you better be able to take it.
  3. Zara Spook or Sexy Dawg!
  4. This is going to sound like a very stupid question but I have to ask it. At the end of tournaments I see fishermen who use one of two methods to getting the fish out of the livewell for weigh in. Some pin the fish and use the tag to secure the fish into the bag. Others seem to easily grab the fish out of the livewell and into the bag (no tagging). I struggle when trying to get the fish out of the livewell if they aren't tagged. Kind of embarrassing for me but for some reason I can't get them to settle in my hands like I see the pros/more experienced anglers do. What the heck am I doing wrong? Pros/cons with either method?
  5. I bought a pack and I have to say I was a bit disappointed in them. Yes they are dual density baits but the difference in the weight IMO is marginal. I rigged it weightless on a 2/0 EWG light wire hook and the slide back is marginal at best. I'm still working the lure so the jury is still out but my initial impressions is I still prefer the Zoom Fish Doctor and a finishing nail.
  6. What he said ... My 1st two lures which I focused on was a Spinnerbait and Senko. A perfect 1-2 punch which I still use today!
  7. Very funny ... LOL
  8. I love these ... slow roll them, twitch them, yo-yo them. Awesome. Also are a great skipping bait.
  9. It is a d**n shame. Talk about turning a dream into a nightmare of sorts. I would certainly feel robbed.
  10. I will be happy whenever they are available to order. Can't wait to work with them.
  11. I was looking for the new wacky worms, those minibugs and the new EWG Shakey.
  12. What he said ... To me it's way more about practice than anything else. You can have the finest rod and perfectly tuned reel and still suck at hitting a spot.
  13. Mine roll way too much on me. Even tweaking it doesn't keep it from going back to the roll. I have to fish it so slow in order to keep it from rolling that it looks lame to me. Nothing like the action I am seeing hyped by Rapala. Very disappointed thus far. Throwing it on spinning gear and 8lb FC.
  14. Nice. I just recently "discovered" the recon worm. Awesome action!
  15. Finesse worm or trick worm. Try it with a floating worm and you will have something interesting on your hands which catches fish.
  16. Does anyone ... cough, cough, Bobby, cough, cough ... know when the new Megastrike stuff is going to be online and ready for purchase?
  17. Welcome to the forum. Are you telling me you are still a Bills fan?! Go Giants!
  18. I agree with all the comments thus far .... IMO I think it's getting a bit absurd. I agree that it compliments the original intent of the carpet rule however if they are going to go this far then let them use a d**n net and stop swinging the fish up. As someone else said one of the contestants is going to get stuck real good! Maybe that's their intent. More "hook" drama.
  19. I could with a 6 1/2 foot MH. The question is why would you if you could get away with more than one?
  20. Dude I have 4 daughters. This 6 year old, 10, 13 and 18. The 18 year old stressed me out to points I never knew I could get to. Texting is the least of your worries.
  21. Exactly ... I think of it as my little reminder of my little one when I am fishing without her.
  22. So ... I come into my bedroom and all I smell is garlic. I look at my bank fishing bookbag and I notice it looks a little different. I ask my 6 year old to come into the room and the conversation goes as follows ... Me: Lina come here ... Lina: Hi daddy. Me: Did you color my bookbag red? Lina: Are you mad? Me: No. Doesn't it look beautiful? I thought you were trying to surprise me. (trying to trick the 6 year old into telling me she did it). Lina: Long pause ... followed by "No daddy. I didn't do it but it does look beautiful now." and she goes ... I almost died laughing. Boy am I in trouble when she gets older. Had to share.
  23. My 1st experience bassing on a boat was a charter on the St Lawrence. My guide was John Cox. Worth every penny of the $500 I spent that day. Trust me it was an experience. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for that.
  24. Mojo rig with a finesse worm has produced for me this season.
  25. On my trip to Disney last year I took the ferry over to magic kingdom and I happened to see a bass boat in the water. He caught a big ol bass on a jig. He cheered and lifted it over his head like a championship belt. I was the only one in the boat cheering. Lol.
