  1. How can I forget Robin Williams as the genie ...
  2. I spent a good amount of winter researching this and finally committed to the new Ride 115x. Just the right size and it provides me plenty of options down the road.
  3. Besides fishing shows it the Walking Dead and Agents of Shield right now.
  4. Stare at it and wait for ice out. Seriously. Nothing until it's first season of use

  6. Congrats ... that is awesome. Please let us know the details as soon as you can.
  7. That was a great video. Thanks for sharing.
  8. As I said to my friends ... this was something to do to help beat cabin fever. It was better than last year but wasn't anything to write home about.

  12. The Michone dream sequence was worth the price of admission.
  13. I just sold my canoe because I found it difficult and uncomfortable for a full day of fishing. I am replacing it with a SOT Yak as well. I have been checking them all out and settled on the Ride 115x. I am placing my order closer to spring so that when it comes in I can quickly go out and test it on the waters. As it pertains to spooking fish I don't think I had a problem there. It was more of a boat control thing with me. Moving to quickly when trying to finesse stuff.
  14. Post *** ... lol! Expecting 10 inches of snow tomorrow AGAIN!
  15. Try state level tournaments ... In New York for example there is the NY Bass Federation tournaments. You can also venture into the ABA ( or BFL (http://www.flwoutdoors.com/bassfishing/bfl/). It boils down to money and time. The opportunities are out there. Good luck and send me an autograph when you win your first check.
  16. I use 10lb FC for this.
  17. No less than 40lb Power Pro for me.
  18. Welcome!
  19. I made the mistake of being taken by the Scatter Rap thing too. I can't stand them. I agree with you completely that it will catch fish but I doubt it will catch more than any other lure on the market. It does look cool though.
  20. You mentioned professional overruns happen to you more often. When I first made the switch to FC I learned how bad a professional overrun is to FC the hard way. Losing a good fish. When you get FC tangled it puts significant weak spots in your line. That will cause it to break when tugging on it or playing fish it that part of the line is exposed. I found the better I got at avoiding backlashes the less issues I had with like breakage. I personally use Seaguar InvizX and AbrazX and love them both. Good luck.
  21. You will learn a ton from your boater if you pay attention but remember this is not a chartered trip so their focus won't be on teaching you per-se. If your budget can afford it and their schedules don't conflict you can do both. If you can only choose one then I would suggest going with the one which affords you the most time on the water. Do your homework and fish hard! Good luck!
  22. Ike Aaron Martins KVD Timmy Horton Shaw Grigsby Ehrler and Palaniuk are quickly moving up
  23. There are a few people on this site who might be able to help. Start with Siebert Outdoors who has sold me jigs in the past. They can sell them painted without the skirt if you want. Cadman I know also sells jigs and can probably help you out. As for colors you cannot go wrong with these 3. Green Pumpkin (maybe a hint of orange skirt) Black/Blue Peanut Butter and Jelly If you want some ideas go to fishingskirts.com and browse their living image skirts. Any of those will produce. Good luck!
  24. Information Tech. Project Manager. Get to work from home and travel a bit when the company needs me to.
  25. pouring and tying my own jigs, watching tons of videos, organizing my tackle and only a "few" purchases. LOL Oh and getting ready to plow out from another storm about to hit us.
