Awesome post. The more you pay attention to your surroundings the better off you are going to be as a co-angler. Also nice to hear that you were sharing amongst one another to discuss what was working that day. A great way for all of you to get better in no time!
Good luck in your future tournaments.
It is in the shop waiting for me to pick it up. I plan to take a trip out there in the next two weekends to go pick it up. The ice just came off the waters so I will definitely be getting out in it as soon as I can.
Agree completely. I don't even bring my stuff. I work with them to try and have them catch fish. If they lose interest and run someplace else I am fishing with their setups. Can you picture me fishing with a Barbie setup. LOL
I will admit I have on those occasions.
Food porn man ... LOL
I found about this place (link below) last night. The owner is a bacon fanatic.

50/50 Burger - Burger with even ground beef and ground bacon.
Bacon Brownies - One of a few bacon desserts.
I never wished I lived near CA so bad! LOL
My little one is getting a new Zebco KVD for kids which I got on sale at Wally World.
I knew I was doing something right when I took her to the Suffern Show with me and she saw some Strike King lures and yelled "Look daddy it's KVD. I saw him on TV".
Have you considered using a Ram mount and moving the FF closer. I sat in the 115x and noticed that when I researched them. I bought mine with the intent of installing the FF at the ball which locks that console in place.
The Ram mount also allows me to move the FF angles so that I can look down at it while fishing.
Here is a link. Hope it helps.

My top 5
1 - Weightless Senko. Wacky around sparse cover. T-rigged around anything else.
2 - Mojo Rig - My favorite actually. I use a trick worm primarily.
3 - Spinnerbait - Easiest power fishing tool to use from the bank. Works well in various conditions.
4 - KVD 1.0 - Around rocky banks or sparse cover again.
5 - Jig - Finesse up to 1/2oz
Different strokes for different folks.
Have fun experimenting with various lures. Give them a chance to work. You will find those which appeal to you under certain conditions in time.
Don't quit on the weightless senko. It catches fish when nothing else does. One little tip for casting them far is to make sure the senko hangs about a foot from the tip of the rod before casting. That adds extra leverage to get weightless lures some more distance.
Good luck.
